I like all the items from ALL steps, but I'm wondering what some of the items in the choice on the right has to do with the rest of the quest.  Sure, some of the clothes are "jungley" or "African Roomish"  but other than that, those items just seem a bit out of place.  Plus... the Asian items...

For my "Jungle room" I used some of my OLD clothes to make it look more relative.  I'll have to dig in my attic to see if I have some animals there.  My CANNES room is more jungley right now than the Jungle Room ;)

What about this item that is included in the gifts for the second ending?

The same career offered again? I already have the "Humanitarian ambassador" career that was apart of another quest. I remember getting the little girl in the picture as an item.

Oh, okay.  When I had first looked, I didn't notice a job which probably the reason was because I already had it and it didn't look new.  Thanks for clarifying :)

Ugg, I hate this

Not the quest per say, but my reaction to it. And well, I think some of my reaction to it is justified, bleh.

This is just exacerbated by how much I adore the gifts. It's just the variety of gifts themselves are my biggest issue. My first look at this quest and I was thinking -save the animals,neat! I'd love some more animal models. And Jungle Room too!- . . . Only there are hardly any animals as gifts, not very many added to the store either to purchase for the quest.

Then I read the actual quest stage 1 blurb. I'm a model catching a news report? Well, great I'm glad she got motivated. Sure explains the choice in gifts however, those lovely dresses and accessories.

And then it really hits me. Just how lovely the African theme decor is, all those modern style furniture pieces in rich (exotic?) wood tones, and suddenly I'm seeing destruction of habitat and exploitation of indigenous peoples. (well, exploitation is a bit strong, but I know it is out there, too. A lot of import handicrafts don't earn the makers a decent wage, and I sincerly doubt the mass produced things, including furniture, are made with sustainability in mind)



So . . . thanks if anyone actually read this far. I kinda waited so most people would have done this quest and won't bother to check this thread again I've been torn over this since the quest came out. As I said I adore most all the gifts, but how can I support what I see this representing? And then I think it's just a game. But games also train thought patterns and habits, and global socio-environmental issues aren't something i like to trivialize. But the quests are only something loosely made to get us to buy things...

And I'm stuck in this thought chain (albeit with a lot more than I've typed).

Any chance anyone can help me? I know this will go away when the next quest is here, but now this is looming over my head.

And I want, but don't dare, and feel kind of alone about it, cause it's silly, it's just a game. But I can't help but feel that it does matter anyways.
