So I decided to just make a topic for this since the finished piece isn't done yet.
Basically this is a tutorial for making head/hair.
And we'll be featurin' this lil' lady's pretty head:
Okie. First you draw a circle 'bout half the size of your head.
Then you sketch a line right through it and make a circle-ish triangle shape.
Make a line through the middle of the top and bottom (eye line). A line between the first line and the chin(nose line). And a line between the 2nd line and the chin (mouth line)
*Note: For tougher lookin fellas, make the trangle-chin slightly trapezoidal.*
Then you make divide the eye cricle line to five sections (meanin' there'll be four lines in the head.) and you take sections numbah 2 & 4 and make round oval things.
Draw a small circle in the middle of the nose line.
Draw 4 circles on the mouth line. (two on top and two below.)
Also make the top half (above eye line) into five sections.
*Note: Lips can be small on top, big on bottom, same sized or (like what I did) big on top small on bottom.*
*Other note: The bottom-most line for the TOP HALF is for the eyebrows if you want to draw them.*
For the hair, choose a spot where it parts. For here, I picked top left because that's where Roxy's looks like it parts. For realism, pick the top-most line on the upper half as the hairline. For others just don't pick the bottom-most and your fine.
Make big bulky tear-drop shapes not exactly starting from the spot you chose but starts in that direction. (Make the bangs first)
Also make little tear drops going upward for baby hair.
For the rest of the hair, think big waves that comes from your starting point. Shorter hair tends to curl more upwards than longer hair. Also, hair that starts mid-head doesn't follow your starting point (obviously.)
Darken those lines and add some a' yer own style. (For me, I wanted her hair to look edged so I didn't add loopy curls at the end.)
*Note: If you don't like drawing ears just make little tufts around the face like I did here.*
For the lips, make little slopes at the ends of all the circles. For thinner lips make smaller circles and longer lines.
See the little diamond like shaped in between your lip circles? Fill that in and make some darker lines coming from it's sides.
For the eyes, just do whatever you usually do. For me, I darken the top and bottom to make the eyelashes, for droopy sleepy ones, I put the top lid in the middle of the oval.
*Note: pupils don't touch the bottom lid, they're usually just above it unless you're squinting/eye-dropping*
Great job, you got your sketch done. It'll come out looking somethin like...
Ain't she purdy?
Just line that or whatever and yay, you drew art ;D
I might post the finished lining here :)

Waahhhh
Thanks xemo
Thank you so much! I saved all the photos (hehe) so that I got something to look after. My school folders won't know what hit them.
Your welcome :D
Alright-y Done!
As you can see, I made the left tuft combine with the left most bangs-teardrop.
Also, when messing up on lining, shading is your friend! (Like the lip. I actually smudged it with my pen XD)
Little details make everything look cooler (binary-style hair tips :D and if you look closely binary eyes)
Can you teach us how to draw different clothing styles? Or this thread is just intended for drawing hair tutos?
Sure I can~! Can't say it'll be good though :D
This thread was actually just cuz bloody asked for a tutorial on how I did the hair + head on this:
So I guess if any of ya'll need drawin' tutorials, I'll gladly make em if I can :D
That's pretty cool
This is pretty useful. Thanks, Emo!!~
Yehey! Can't wait for the upcoming tuto~!
OOh, an update!

How about a school uniform?
Wow! These are really, really good!
Do you think you could make a drawing tutorial of a kissing scene ?
Like the one you drew before ?
I mean this one.
Thank you! :)
