Question about reporting a doll/dolls

I was just wondering when we run across a doll who's main objective of being at this site is to find love, should we turn them in?  In other words, they are using this site as a "dating site," often times by using a name that is either fully vulgar or suggestively vulgar.

Or... should we just ignore their page?

Re: Question about reporting a doll/dolls

Same reaction here, Sierra...sometimes you don't know what to do, because it doesn't fit on "report this file". I think it's really annoying for me and the other players, this game it's just for fun with dolls...for example yesterday, I found a doll and her username was suggesting her orientation, so I visited her page and in her WIA she says something like "I'm 18 and, yeah I'm g... and single"...
The question would be...why are you sharing your orientation with us? We don't matter and we don't need to know it in a game where some girls under 13 years old are playing here...(I'm including my little sis here)...As I told first, I didn't know what to do, I thought, must I report this file? I went to the forum, checked the rules on the board and I sent her a private message: I told her, "Hey, I'm not and OMD moderator but please - Do not mention or discuss  your orientation. It is irrelevant here. This is NOT a dating site. Hope you understand it"...maybe she didn't know which type of content put on her page but anyway, I did it...A few minutes after, she replied me "I took it down", I checked her file again: she deleted the "I'm single...etc"...but her username was still being, as you say "suggestively vulgar"...! I remember that I asked for help to a moderator about how to do with this kind of files, but she never answered me...I'd like to know what the other players think about this theme, it includes all players of OMD, because we are a community...Well, hope you understand me because I'm learning English, have a nice day!

Re: Question about reporting a doll/dolls

I understood you very well Bianca.
I feel the same way. I used to come across a lot of vulgar user names in the French and Italian sides so much that I stopped looking to see what dollz were on. I still don't know if I'm supposed to report those kinds of names when technically they aren't vulgar in that particular language.
I try not to look at dollz who I don't know from the Forums, either, since I never know what content might be on their page.

Re: Question about reporting a doll/dolls

I've had this issue too - I've gone to report dollz who are soliciting for PMs of a.....questionable....nature, but never really know what to file it under. I usually select one of the first two: "pornographic images or text" or "gruesome language, homophobic, racist, etc" - that one, because the language they use is gruesome, even if it's not specifically anti any certain group of people - I use that one more for people who have the F-word or other foul language all over their WIA.

Any mods care to pipe up? Is it better for us to use the "report this doll" feature without knowing exactly what category the report fits into, or would you rather for us to PM one of you with our concerns and the doll's username?

Re: Question about reporting a doll/dolls

Use one of the first two options when reporting this is fine.

If you are more comfortable letting us mods know that's fine too.

Thanks very much, cocobelle :) I was never really sure if the Report feature was the right way to go - now I know!

Re: Question about reporting a doll/dolls

@lady0filia Glad you understood me!
@snortmort, I agree with you, I usually select those options, yesterday's evening  I reported some dolls because of this problem, and another doll because her WIA was really rude, maybe you can think that I have a lot of time to spend here, but I think it is a little help to keep our game a bit more clean!
A question about reports, if I report somebody's file, in how many time the game administrators receive the reports?

Re: Question about reporting a doll/dolls

Glad we're having this discussion on the forum. Just reported another rude player a few minutes ago. I always also wonder where the reports go and what happens with them once they are received.
