Jeff:
I sighed and signaled to the men to carry her and follow me. As we headed back, I asked, "I don't remember you being a vampire."
Tellis:
"And to every poor man on this planet! Including her husband. She's crazy! Crazy, I tell ya!"
Malu:
"It was recent and all my accident. Could you carry be bridal-style? Would be much more comfortable."
Susie:
"Poor men indeed! And Val isn't that bad! She definitively has better fashion sense than me."
Tellis:
"I've always thought you were a model in disguise." I said twirling a lock of her hair.
Jeff:
"I'm afraid not. You'll walk." I said as we continued walking. "How were you changed?"
Angel:
"It's not that hard but it's not that easy. I'd say a whole day should be enough to practice. Let's do it now. We have four people here. One person can talk them through while the other can sift through their mind."
Christen:
I give Rylai a quick wink, then I nod at Angel. "Sounds like a good idea. Who plans to be my first victim and vice-versa then?"
Rylai :
"Ok I want to practice the mind block stuff so you can try and get into my useless mind"
Angel:
"Your first victim? We're penetrating your mind not vice versa. You have to try and block us out."
Rylai :
"Stop chit chatting already we don't have all day come on Angel give it a try " I said while trying to focus .
Christen:
"Still, my mind is a scary place, might be surprised." I sighed. Rylai was already giving it a try. So I turned to Valerie. "Okaaay, have at it then." I imagined a kind of mental wall around my thoughts.
Susie:
I felt my face heating up.
Malu:
"Quite the charmer aren't ya?" I said dryly. "Well.. Once upon a time there was Wrath. She killed me. I drank her blood before that and bada bing bada boom - we're here."
Jeff:
"You don't go around drinking strangers' blood. You don't know what's in there."
Tellis:
I whispered in her ear, "I like it when you blush."
val:
I smiled and said, "I'm not the toughest to block.. But let's see." I started quietly going through his emotions...his fears...trying to find a way through.

I sighed as I looked around the cruise ship. People. People everywhere. To say I enjoyed it would be a great understatement. I sighed again as I stood up and walked around to find Jannelle who seemed more than happy with the amount of people around.
Well, at least she's happy.
The launch of our Cruise ship went extremely well - I had to kidnap Pitbull and his mom to make that happen - and less than an year later we're booked for the next five years.
The partying and the screaming kids and complaining Jannelle who seems to be always in high stress didn't help me get any reading time.
The food wasn't bad though. There are many vegetarians and their blood wasn't normally oily unless they had too many fried okra the night before. Of course, I didn't let Jan know about my little snacks. I've been careful to cover up my tracks and brainwash the victim afterwards.
I dread the day she finds out.
But for now, I won't worry about that, I decided and sat down quietly to read the newspaper in my hands.
Malu:
"Wrath apparently. And maybe a few slices of pizza too."
Susie:
My face got hotter when I heard "Susie and Tellis sitting in a tree-" behind me in Elric's voice. Hanna's laughter followed.

Tellis:
"Yeah?" I turned to the kids, "You do know that this is quite literally true, right? We are in a tree ... and we are K.I.S.S.I.N.G."
Jeff:
"...You need to think more before you act." I commented nonchalantly.
Jan:
After hours and hours of making sure our guests were well cared for, I found Jake sitting quietly in a room reading. Sneaking behind him, I covered his eyes with my hands and whispered, "Guess who?"
Jake:
"Jan. Who else?"
Susie:
I laughed as the kid screamed, "EW!"
Malu:
"What are you? My dad- oh. sorta are. Are we there yet?"
Jeff:
"Soon...Not far off now. You smell different..." I commented. "...Smell...dead."
Jan:
I pouted, "Killjoy..." Sitting next to him, "I've been looking for you."
Tellis:
I whispered to Susie, "See? That's parenting right there. "
Christen:
Val looked like she was doing something. It was hard to tell. I was literally thinking one word: WALL. Trying to not let her see--err hear anything. "Would it break your concentration if I asked something?"
Val:
"...hmmm...nope." I said thinking it was better actually. Talking opens up your mind. "Ask away."
Jake:
"Thru these crowds it's hard to find anyone."
Malu:
"Makes sense since I've been in hell for an year.. plus I haven't taken a shower in two weeks."
Susie:
"Well," I wrapped my arms around his neck. "You should be proud."

Jan:
"Yeeeeah...It's pretty crowded out there, huh...It's very lively though, right? I mean...people dancing, partying...and kids...they're cutely running around."
Tellis:
"hmmm....You should, too...You've been great with them lately." I sent to mom and dad, Take the kids to bed?
Christen:
"Okay, then...Saaay if either of us newbies gets caught, what would be the consequences for that? I mean, just how dangerous is this live bait role we're playing, huh?" I asked, smiling.
Val:
"...I don't know...But here's the thing...I don't like using others as live bait. I prefer using myself for that...If I hadn't had Matt and the kids, I most probably would have...The problem is...you're not much safer even outside this whole plot. The clave has been ... tough...lately."
Christen:
"Really? Huh...That's sweeeet of you! But let's hope it's not nearly as bad as I can imagine, I--Whoops! hope you didn't get any of that thought!" Wall-wall-wall.
Val:
"You're actually pretty good...Much stronger than I ever was. " I smiled, "I have only detected worry."
Christen:
"Better not be hoping I'll get a big head and slip up. At least 97% of my attention is on blocking you out. Awkward as that sounds. Any tips to make it easier, Val?"
Val:
"The way Matt taught it to me was to build an imaginary wall and only think about how to get out...i sometimes still slip...Angel and the others are way better than I am at this."
