Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

A few hours, working with three computers, has only put me at 1750! This is terrible! I want them all but this is exhausting. I'm on a movie and a half now, trying to fight boredom. aomd_blase

If they did go along this line for rewards I would totally do the quest. I need more cute food items. I love food especially confection. And the items really do fit in that room.

I also end up taking a 'Catch Up" on shows break. It's exhausting and irritating, especially with that 15 seconds rules. It takes up time that could've been used on getting more eggs. If I really didn't want the rewards I wouldn't have even bothered with this event. I'm not a too patient person. I feel your pain girls.

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

The items are great, but honestly, I won't spend several hours to open all of the chests. I think I am just going to open the one with the chocolate lake because it's my favorite.

And then I'll stop wasting time finding the eggs. Especially with 15 seconds between each click! To my mind it's too long!

On top of that I mainly get 1 egg per click! So it is very long. I've spent 1 hour and I only have 412 eggs. It's getting boring... nrv

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

I guess they wanted to make it harder to finish this without using FEEz.

You have three computers that you play this game on? *raises an eyebrow*  I would think that would make it confusing. I just did the 'search for player" with 3 letters, like "ann" and went down the list.  But even doing it that way, the new 15 second rule made it harder and after all day of only getting 800 eggs... I went ahead and bought the rest with feez.

No, I use one primary computer for normal dollz things. But with this it's 15 seconds per computer. So I "look for eggs" on the first computer through the third and by the time I am done with the cycle the first computer has hit 15 seconds past. I have been doing the search for doll with random short names along with this method and I was at 2000 by 4 hours (not consecutively). But there have been so many 1-2 egg hits!

Most likely.

Possibly they also want to reduce the number of calls to their server. OMD may use small graphics most the time, but when you consider that some dolls have hundreds, if not thousands of items in a loft, and a lot of dollz visit that one doll, well, still a lot of server overhead.

Reducing the number of dollz page loads with a time restriction should work in theory - but I think rather fails when we have to go back and reload the page.nrv  If they could program this event to do pop-up a message like when we work, that would cut a lot of page calls right there.

And if they are going to do a cool down period, it would be nice if they displayed it somewhere!

That doesn't mean I like this anymore than anyone else.  I just despise a few other pet peeves more with this style of event.  And I still wish we had pretty Easter baskets/trunks instead of grubby halloween ones to open.

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

Just did some calculations.
If you get one egg for every click:
1 min = 15 second buffer/60 seconds = 4 eggs
1 hour = 4 eggs * 60 min = 240 eggs

To get to the 1600 box, you have to be sitting at the computer for about 5 to 6 hours.
I think it's just easier to buy the eggs for fees or if not just skip the event. Even if you get more eggs with so,e turns you still have to sit there and meticulously click the button for at least 4 hours.
You could also sit in 1 hour intervals...

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

The only less boring way to collect eggs for me is while I watch some random/funny videos on YouTube or 9gag.. it's not that bad and you can see in a video how many seconds have passed and be sure it's more than 15 seconds. It's not that bad when you get used to it and I don't really think about it anymore and just click it almost automatically. So far I've got 2 prizes for 1600 eggs and 800 eggs, probably gonna finish it tomorrow.

Don't give up guys, it's possible, you can do it! fete

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

6 hours (a little less) with three computers to get 3000 eggs. This is a test trail. Meaning they are seeing how many people will just dish out real money. And since so many people have, this will probably be the future of the hunts. :/

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

Well I refuse to give Feerik real money since they have yet to solve the missing $90 bug on my account. Four hours to get 1600 eggs...I don't think I have that much time to spare.

well, not necessarily mdr

I mean, it literally takes like 2 seconds to click for egg hunting when you already have a few different tabs opened :D

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

I got 2400 eggs for bigger 2 chests,  but next time I don't think I'll bother. Very frustrating.
I discovered (when I was way over half way done) that if I log on on chrome and firefox at the same time, I can avoid waiting 15 seconds if I alternate between them. Similar idea to Aluralegend's 3 computers. I only used 2 browsers so I had to wait 2-3 seconds in between, but it was still much preferable to 15. :) I hope that helps someone if we get  another hunt with delay.

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

if we get another hunt like this, i'm not going to procrastinate again. i was up ultil 8 a.m collecting eggs (while reading Assassination Classroom manga).
what i did was: read one panel, hunt one egg, read one panel, hunt one egg, etc...

I found that when using Chrome, switching into incognito mode can also help. I had the equivalent of 3 computers by having 2 Chrome windows (1 incognito, 1 normal) and one Safari browser open. This meant I didn't have to wait 15 seconds at all.

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

Ah, the luxury of having multiple computers. I was able to do all the Halloween chests last year, but this year I could only get 500 eggs altogether. I had hoped to open the 800 egg chest, but no luck...At least I got two pretty egg trees.

I just didn't want to ruin my Easter by sitting at the computer all day.

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

The multiple browser idea seems easier. Haha figures I would do things the hard way. And most people don't have as many computers so this idea is good for more people if they decide to keep this timer idea again.

It's terrible that so many had to miss out because of that time restriction!! I really really hope they don't do this again! nrv

Re: [Event] Hunt Easter eggs!

Agree! I hope they won't do the 15 second rule for the next hunt event!
