Editing Pictures

I've seen many people do them and the only way I know how is via picmonkey and blingee. But how do you, how do I say this, 'crop' out the picture(a doll) and have it be on a background like a mountain. I can't quite figure it out and I was wondering if anyone knew any tools and/or websites that could help. :)

Re: Editing Pictures

Gimp or Photoshop are in my opinion best programs.I suggest GIMP is more easy than Photoshop. You will need to download and install it.After this you can search on Google some tutorials about cuting/croping.

Re: Editing Pictures

If you already download gimp, what I like to do with it is I use the free-select tool (I forgot what it's called but it's something like that, it's shaped like a lasso) and trace the doll. Then I go to the select (or was it a different tab?) tab on top and click "invert selection". Then, I press delete. Now, you should have the doll with a transparent background. You can add whatever background you like, just paste the background then move the layer under the doll's layer. Hope that wasn't too complicated lol
