"Oh~!" I said, slowly turning to look at this new nurse, forcing myself not to sound like I wanted to attack her. "Her being alive doesn't matter to you?" I had a million and one things I wanted to say, but tried to keep them to myself.

Kalon:

"Have you tried naps? or eating? That's plenty to do." I said, rolling my eyes.

"She's alive, everything that's keeping her alive is working. I don't think I need to do much."

Navy:
"Hard to sleep and I lost my appetite weeks ago. I actually haven't slept for more than a few hours at night. Plus, all I've been eating is some bread here and there."

I grinned, "Maaaaaaaybe, you could work on helping her to wake up, huh?" I said, gripping a knife in my pocket. Tara was making this awful hard by sending in nurses that didn't give a damn.

Kalon:

"You'll get sick and collapse." I warned, smirking.

Crazy Nurse that doesn't give a damn about anything...what is she even doing here?:
"I don't know if you understand what a coma is, but just to educate you, a person wakes up from their coma, on their own. Our job, is to keep her nutrients going through her system. That's it."

Navy:
"I can't stand this place. It's hard." I say, hugging myself. "At least I'm not in the front. Some of the nurses are there as well but they're in more danger than we are."

Navy:
"I'll probably be the first one to run to the air trains when we'll be called back."

Crazy Nurse:
"Can't do anything until one of the scanners beep. It means she's stable and we have to wait. The reason I'm here is to refill her nutrient bags and to empty that one." I said pointing to a bag under the bed that was empty.

Navy:
I smiled. "I don't think I can run that fast. But I do have to run back to the other patients." I hesitated for a bit, looking at him, and then gave him a quick kiss on his cheek. "Thank you"

Kalon:

My eyes widened. Ugh, she always had to do all that gushy stuff. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, well looking at the bags, they're all full and that one is empty. Plus, none of the scanners are making a sound. So now tell me what I' supposed to do."

Navy:
I hurried off to take care of the other soldiers. All the blood was making me sick but I held it in.

"You could tell me some stupid damn lie that you don't believe in and say she'll be okay!" I said, more frustrated then ever. I ran a hand through my hair, I was going to cry. Don't cry. Don't you dare cry Isaac Pendragon...

Kalon:

I sat back as she left, closing my eyes for a short nap, if I could get it. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep lately.

Crazy Nurse (Wow. She has a heart...kind of):
I sighed. He looked so broken. "Look. I don't think it does any good to tell you that she's going to be okay or not. Because if I tell you she's going to be okay and she won't, you're going to forever blame me. It may not help much but I have heard that people get better faster if you talk to them. Read them stories, tell em about your day, that sort of stuff. It only has been day 2 of her being in this state and Day 1 of medical attention."

Navy:
It was getting late out and I was getting tired. I kept going to different patients asking if they needed anything. By sundown, I said good night to everyone. I went to Kalon's and sat on the edge of the bed. He looked so peaceful, for once.

I didn't look up at her, I had felt a tear run down my face, so I looked down, putting a hand to my face. "And what does that mean?"

Kalon:

I groaned, feeling someone sit down. Who else would it be except Navy? "I was sleeping kind of nice until you planted your bottom there." I said with a sigh.

"Here, wait." I went outside of the room to another and got a book. "Read this to her." I said, coming back in. "She may or may not hear it, but it'll help you feel less...useless."

Navy:
I pouted. "You want me to leave then?"

I looked down at the floor. Tears had kept coming, I did trust myself to look up at her, or even speak, so I just wiped tears. "Useless..." I repeated. That's what I was.

Kalon:

"Even if you left, I couldn't get back to sleep."

"Hey, I can't deal with people crying. Here." I threw a box of tissues to him. "I'll be right outside, if anything beeps or changes, let me know. I think you need some time alone with her. Try doing what I said, it helps." I left the room.

Navy:
"Maybe you could." I said getting up.

When she left the room, I wiped away more tears, then I grabbed the book. I stared at it for a moment, wondering if this would even work. Then I opened it, looking at Zy for a second before I started reading. I didn't read often, so it sounded weird.

Kalon:

"Maybe." I said, closing my eyes.
