Step 1: A City Girl
I got my first job in Pariz! I'm moving far away from my parents, and even though it feels strange living on my own, I'm glad to finally be independent. Perched on my scooter, Kiki and I take in the city as I think about my new life. I'm going to be able to decorate my place how I want, eat what I like, and go out whenever I feel like it! Well, I also pay my bills myself, ha ha! I can't wait to be there.

Step 2: Welcome to my place!
My building has character, I already like it! I'm going to be living on the first floor with Elza, a student in fashion design who I met at the real estate agency. Some of my boxes have already been delivered: some dishes, my clothes, and most importantly: my computer. I'm lost without an internet connection! Walking down the hallway, I spot a flyer on the wall: My neighbors from the top floor are throwing a party tonight, and they've invited all the tenants in the building. This is great, I love the hospitality here! I'm definitely going to go. Apparently, they're vegetarians? What a great coincidence, I love tasting different styles of cooking! I'm sure it's going to be delicious and that there are going to be tons of nice people.

Step 3: My roommate and I
After unpacking my things, I wanted to make some vegetable-stuffed bread for my evening with the neighbors. I was about to put it in the oven, when all of a sudden: bam! The electricity gets shut off! Elza has been very busy with her studies, maybe, and she completely forgot to pay the bill... great, until this can be fixed tomorrow, we're going to have to eat everything in the fridge and use birthday candles for lighting! What bad luck, I can't use the oven, my bread is ruined... Elza suggests going to ask the nice old lady living upstairs if I can use her oven. And while I'm there, to ask her for some matches or a lighter, because we won't be able to light the candles with the electric stove. That's not a bad idea! It's a chance to introduce myself. It's only 6 PM, I hope she's not already in bed...

Step 4: Granny Baker
I squirm in a squeaky chair, back too straight, in a huge living room. The kind old lady refused to leave me standing in the doorway and insisted that I come eat some cookies with her while my bread bakes. She's really nice, but she's been telling me about her life for... at least 20 minutes. She's even worse than my sister! The place smells like old wood, talcum powder, and lavender, and especially, it smells like CATS. They're everywhere! In her decorations, and in real life too! I almost sat on "Caramel", a big orange fluff ball, who proceeded to growl at me (thanks for the warm welcome).I try my best to force down the dry cookies and smile, all while thinking about a scene in that cartoon "Baladin", when Yagros the parrot stuffs himself with cookies...As soon as I hear the timer ring, I hurry and flee!

Step 5: The hot guy from the 3rd floor
Damn! I was in such a hurry to leave that I forgot to ask her for matches! I don't really want to go back there, or else I would be staying for a few more hours... Alright, I'm going to ask my neighbors from the 3rd floor. I ring the doorbell, the door opens, and my jaw drops. My subconscious shifts into "Warning: hot guy" mode: my neighbor is really good looking (and his apartment is really classy)! I stutter my name and something about matches, which he seems to understand. He comes back with the matches, points at the bread I'm holding and asks me with a beautiful smile (ouch, my heart!) if it's for him. I stutter that yes, no, actually, it's for the party! I learn that he's going too. I'm even more excited to be going! As soon as the door is shut, I sprint down the stairs back to my place! Quick! I need to find something to wear!

Answer - 163
Gift:
Step 6: Party with the neighbors
The tenant from the 4th floor is really cool, She's really into organic food and caring for the environment. She gives us a tour of her apartment, I had no idea that they literally had a garden on the roof! And what a great view! Speaking of great views, I look around for the hot guy from the 3rd floor and spot him close to the buffet table. I take a deep breath and make my way towards him! He greets me, and I'm about to answer when a blonde woman moves between us. I frown as if to say "get out of here"... and suddenly he puts his arm around her waist! "Oh yeah, you haven't met my wife! This is Cristine, Cristine, this is our new neighbor! "What a letdown, he's married! I let out a slightly cold "pleased to meet you" and excuse myself, taking out my frustration on some carrot sticks... No matter, I'll look for a Prince Charming elsewhere!

2. a chief of police (shouldn't it be an urban planner?)
That's what I thought, sent a note to the gm. May not get an answer until tomorrow since its already after 5 in France. (not sure when they're done for the day)

Thanks! I did some wikipedia research (wow, much serious) and it seems that it might be a case of bad translation. Baron Haussmann is mostly known for his plan of Paris' renovation but he was also a Prefect of Seine Department. I also checked the French version of the game and the right answer there is "préfet".

Great! Thanks for the guide!! :)
The option (Prefect) is working. I did the quest a minutes ago and chose that answer and it was valid. Thanks Rhea for the quest guide. :bambou:
