Re: [LookBook] Fantasy Princesses

Nooo, bring back regular look books with an actual new game content, these are just made with things that we already have and can make ourselves...

Re: [LookBook] Fantasy Princesses

The game is probably still in the stage of changing from Flash to a newer system, so maybe most of the attention is how that will go about. I'm not sure how that affects the people who work on the gifts/prizes/items in stores content, but it's possible they are needed to make the newer version's graphics look pleasing? Anyway, some of the items are hard to come by one way or another as they are Collectibles that many may not have. I'm pretty happy...they picked my baby dragon!!! Eek! Unless you made a creation out of that dragon before she matured into an adult, you can't get her anymore - until now, for a limited time.

Re: [LookBook] Fantasy Princesses

I'm not a fan of these doll creations, they are just quest or store items put together & is different from new items created by a graphic artist. It's good for personal creativity on your account or if you choose to buy them but feerik is taking advantage of this & using players to update the site either through shops or these creations. Obviously with flash being replaced by HTML5 they must be wondering if they want to continue with this game but it's mainly the lofts that would require updating (because of flash) if they want to continue. The other french game (bimbo) are hardly affected as they never really used flash on their game & only needed a little update which they did last year. SD on the other hand is mainly based on flash but have enough money for updates & have said they will update before flash expires. But this game tells you nothing & leaves people speculating about it's future. I wonder they would do for Christmas as the calendar starts in a few days. it might be filled with doll creations as well.

Re: [LookBook] Fantasy Princesses

I totally agree with you, Tresselle and Dyingneko. I am not fan either and even though some creations are really good, I still prefer those created by the game designers. I wonder if there would be a Christmas calendar or quest... (I kind of lose hope when I realized that there was no Halloween quest, but a look book)

If only there was a like button for other peoples posts. I would agree with all of you, some of these creations are beautiful but I do miss the new content. I guess I look at it this way I get to save up more money :) but then if there will be no game to spend it on then whats the point.

But keeping my fingers crossed that this game will survive.

Same here. I hope they manage to keep the game alive by changing the format from flash to something else... but to be honest, i'm more annoyed by the fashion shows demanding me to follow the previous week theme than by those money-saver player creations...

As for the advent calendar: I don't mind if they're all player creations, as long as they give me some kind of bonus for showing up every single day.

also, about HTML5: it is a bit unstable and depends a lot on cookies (often 3rd-party, for whatever reason) and a lot of people block 3rd-party cookies from unvisited sites, not to mention the new browser game formats seem to completely disregard the possibility that some people can't afford to move to 64-bit operating systems because they don't know how to install one, don't trust their skills to try following a tutorial that might or might not involve an illegal download, and can't pay someone to do it for them nor find someone who will do it for free.

Re: [LookBook] Fantasy Princesses

Some of these looks are good looking but.... there's so much clutter and it's visually overwhelming to the point that I can't tell what's going on and there's just too much going on (but that's my personal opinion). I enjoyed the Mexico lookbook because it had original creations, but feerik is using user made outfits as a crutch and throwing out expensive replays left and right every week. It's a little disappointing...

That's actually what I didn't like about the Halloween LookBook, too much clutter going on and I couldn't tell what was what. This new collection is a tad better, but it's still hard to see what I'm looking at. I didn't want to be too negative, since everyone else seems to be and I know how such reactions can be harmful to themselves as well as to the game developers: If the players do not give the game any support, then there is no reason to keep the game going in the end. And no, I'm not talking about money; but genuine good vibes and an understanding, as well as plan old patience - after all, our world shouldn't revolve around games and whether or not a particular one has new content all the time. (At the moment I'm thinking of another game that I play that gets updated every week with something new, but without fail the players complain about what hasn't  been added.)

But, yes, I must say that the Creations that they pick in the recent months look to be a mess of this and that; which might look good standing alone, but once clumped together are overwhelming. I wish that they would pick more simpler styles once in a while, especially for something like this. I can only have so many fancy gowns, even if they are pretty. My purple dragon, for example, only has the maximum required field of five items to make a sewing creation: She still has her original charm, but with some extra love to make her shine. Of course, that doesn't mean I'd want them to pick outfits that come from already-thought-out quest, special gifts, or shop outfit pieces, which they seem to keep doing; but something truly unique, such as a top from 'Quest #1', bottoms from 'Quest #8', shoes from 'Quest #5', hair piece from 'Quest #10' all dolled up with just  four do-dads from multiple quests. (I'm using examples, by the way, with the quest numbers.)

As for Christmas, I must admit I am hoping for an advent calendar of new gifts. aomd_noel

We really need a LIKE button!

And saving my money, I'm up to 4k on my main doll and 10k on another!  :)

My doll angelicadane would love these gowns but they are too cluttered and too expensive.  Lets have regular new quests instead of these LOOKBOOKS.

The ADVENT calendar finally showed up and it looks promising with blues and earthy tones.

And it's nice to showcase players' creations, but they are taking advantage of them... free labor for "new content" as opposed to hiring someone in their office to create new things.

I haven't spent RL money in over a year and I used to spend a LOT each month.  I bet others who may have spent RL money may have slowed down on that as well.

Let me explain something about the RL money. Some servers, like the Spanish one, encompass people from an entire region, for example, Latinamerica. In the Spanish server, there are people from Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Spain, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, etc. and some players do not have an option to buy feez. Some countries do, like Chile, but others like Ecuador or Argentina do not. And they are willing to buy buy feez. That is my situation right now. I used to have an option to buy feez and suddenly I did not have that option any more. And that happened overnight. We sent queries, tickets, emails... and there has been no reply yet.
