yes cant buy the required hair for the autumn 2010 quest :/ it says theres a problem.
There are a few items in the permanent flirts and levels that cant be purchased either. A vanity on the permanent flirts (Gerald), the orange side ponytail and skin on Chris, and curtains on level 44 are what I am stuck on.

you know, that on the portugal server all items have this problem?
no shops, no adventures and nothing to see in the room - only the creations.
i hope, that this is not the start here for all the trouble!
then in future only all is ok in french!
