i'm sorry, but i dont understand what do you mean.. but i think i should answer you like this (sorry if it wasnt the right answer :P)-> "i use paintool SAI for making avatar and signature.. if you know the tricks, you can color the templates as you want.. i really want to send my turitorial for making a signature and avatar, but i cant (i dont know how ).. and i pick the smalest line, because i know when i've colored it,it will be more  thick (see the lines before and after i colored it):
