New store format?

Hey has anybody else been onto the store today? I just went in to check out the new line of summer stuff and it looks TOTALLY different in there. Seems they're trying to implement players' requests for colour-searching and better organization of items, but it still seems a bit weird....

*a while later: it's even more amazing than I first realized: there's even a 'shop' called The Stylist Centre, where you can search for ANYTHING by colour and it'll find it for you over all the shops! For instance, you can go to the dress tab, select a casual dress, select a colour, and it'll show you all casual dresses in that colour from all the shops, all at once.

I am just now seeing this. I'm glad that someone else posted about this first since it's not in the other forum yet.

I'm looking at how they have various things separated and I'm liking it. Liking it alot!!

And it appears that whatever store you pick to look at, that store jumps to the first place. Is it just me, but are there the same amount of stores there? I know there's an arrow to expand the amount of stores showing.

But so far, no complaints.

It will take some time to get it all memorized as to where which item is now at.

It will take some adjusting to, but I'm starting to like it (coming from the person who still doesn't like the new doll page setup XD)

the byzatine and manzana etc are in the Stylist Centre. This store doesnt search over all items. Just those shops that haven't been updated for over a year.

Is anyone else finding it a bit annoying that the stores move location?

I'm finding it frustrating to "shop by store" now because the stores keep moving location on the list.

It does make me look twice to make sure I'm going to the right place to purchase something. I understand WHY they are moving the stores (promos and seasonal stores at top) but I'm not sure I agree with the reason to move them as frequently.

Oh, well...nothing is perfect. My complaint is still in regards to the movement of 'sets' of items to their separate tabs (bedroom, chairs, tables, storage, etc.).

I would say that annoying is putting it mildly *grumble* I also dislike the fact that only one row of Boutiques is displayed... to see the rest you have to click (yet another click) to access them. I'm sure there is some logic for it, but I don't see it... seems to me it would take more coding to create the drop-down frame (o.O)

I am getting used to the clothing portion of the new organization, and it (mostly) makes sense... but I am still finding that the categorization of non-apparel is really hit-or-miss *sigh*

This is a category, not a bug, but why are pets and plants grouped together? Because they both start with the same letter? Seems strange to me.

Oh, I wish I understood why the plants and pets are together. It makes no sense to me.
Maybe there is a reason? They are both 'living' but to me that's as close as they are together.

But of course, in the old system some plushes were marked as animals. And even though the zodiac plushes are animals, they are not pets and shouldn't have counted towards the animal trophy but they did in the past.

And where is the Halloween decorations put? I've looked through several tabs and have yet to actually find those pumpkins. Yes, they are now in my garden... but what if there is a pumpkin still in my over populated attic rotting?

I'm thinking they haven't put the Halloween decorations out yet.

They never seemed to put away the Christmas decorations. When the new store format came, they seemed to just put them into various tabs (I keep seeing lights in the lighting tab and thinking what are they - oh, they're for the tree).

I would love if they had seperate tabs for the holidays again (like they used to have the garden store for winter & fall flowers and trees).

I found the pumpkins in the decorations under party. I am so impatient! I need more pumpkins :)

At my beauty shop, we would start decorating for Halloween on or around Sept 1. We loved having the decorations up for 2 months. And if Halloween fell on a day other than Saturday, we got to dress up twice that week. It was so much fun!

No it's just that I haven't been on this site in months and all of these changes have surprised me and I was expressing my confusion by typing up a bunch of random letters in capitols o.o

I'm trying to find items for winter only problem is I have to search through all the trees and stuff looking for potential items. It would be a ton easier if we have separate categories for winter and autumn.

Yup it is kinda strange. Shouldn't the plants be in the garden store category? Or is it that in France they sell pets and plants together? Maybe.. since they do sell cigars and stamps in the same shops =p
