Thanks everyone for all your kind compliments for Benjo! We think he's pretty stinkin' cute, too!

We had a lot of fun with him yesterday on his birthday. Our parents and siblings and nephews came over in the late afternoon for supper, presents and cake. We had a very nice time together and he was very happy and well behaved. (of course now we're paying for his good behaviour from yesterday today...he's being very grumpy and refusing to nap this afternoon. throwing his lunch on the floor....sigh...).

Can't believe he's a year already!!

Benjamin is just such a little cutie pie! He sure has grown, and I love his blond hair! looks like he's had a little boys haircut already?? He looks like such an inquisitive little boy...love all the pictures! Now that he's walking you're probably very busy keeping him out of mischief! just remember that after walking comes running!!! :) He did have a haircut, in July, but his hair is already super long again and badly needs another cut! He's like his daddy - his hair grows super fast!

Haven't posted any pics of B since the end of August. Here are a few from since then:

In September, we went camping with our friends. It was SO COLD the first night! lol we were freezing our butts off. Thankfully the second day it warmed up a bit and we had a nice time all together. Here's Benjamin riding on T's shoulders when the three of us went on an early morning walk to keep him and his noise levels away from our sleeping site-mates :)

Went for a walk on an old railtrack-turned-trail with Benjamin:

Finally, I took B to the farm where I worked for twelve years for a visit. My old boss - a dear friend of mine - was there, as well as two old co-workers (my best friend's little brother, and a sweet little Cambodian lady). B loved all the apples and busyness of the barn, and he even got to sit on the forklift that I used to drive :)

He's been saying a lot more words lately, and really babbling a lot. Words he can say now: Daddy, Mumma, Oma, Grandma, truck, car, tractor, kitty, doggy, yeah, hi, shoes. I think there might be a few more but that's all I can think of right now :) Love him to pieces!

Laura - yes, it is :) He's constantly punking toys from my parents' house. Their toy boxes are just full of 'vintage' type toys like that :) Ones that my sisters and I all used to play with when we were children as well.

Angel and Amaryllis, thanks :) We think he's pretty cute too :) And yes, he is getting SO BIG! Crazy. Already 14 months old. Times flies!
