I've got Good News and Bad News

Soooo, the bad news is: There will be no LI this month. No matter how much we're trying, we can't seem to meet the deadline since all of us are having exams. I apologize for that deeply :(

The good news is ... I am taking this chance to make the LI release data to be The 1st Day of each month.
Meaning, the June LI will be on the 1st of June!!!! This is better, no?

Finally, I'd like to give this as a small gift for all the mothers that are here on OMD or for you girls to give it to your mothers. As you girls know, Mother's Day, at least in the US, will be on Sunday the 12th of May!

The drawing used in this one is actually mine. I drew it for my mom about six years ago! I thought I would share it with you and your mom this month!

Soooo....Happy Mother's Day!!!!

It's been a long time, huh? Well, I've been having a lot of drama and trouble and didn't sit in front of the computer for long enough to finish the LI's next issue. I'm slowly getting back to my old schedule though! So, hopefully we'll have the next issue soon. Also to announce the winner of the "Can You Draw this?"

But... there's something I want to talk to you girls about. I've been toying with an idea lately...And it's creating a website for the LI.

Now before anything, I'd like to make one thing clear. The LI will still be on the board. And any new issue will be posted here at least 1-2 weeks before it's posted on the magazine, but the website will allow more benefits:

- It will make it easier to browse older issues and read them.
- It will allow me to have more freedom with tools and visualizations. I can't use  those here since I am pretty much limited to text and pics.
- I will be able to post links to youtube videos related to content.
- It will be easier to share articles and stuff through the website with friends and so on than here.
- I seriously would like more people to see everyone's arts and Bloodsy's poems and so on. More viewers are likely to see the website than the board.

Now, what I was thinking is the following:

Of course, the website will not be commercial. And I will be crediting every article, video, picture to its original owner, but what about OMD stuff? Of course I will be saying that the magazine originated here. And that Feerik owns OMD and that we're merely having fun...Do you think having a corner called "Life of an OMD'er"  where we're going to have:

1. OMD Fashion
2. Wheel of Fashion
3. And You Are?
4. News Section

Do you think that would be a problem? It's just for fun and will be a blog on the website.

Also, for the writers and editors...Will you be comfortable with having your articles there?

I am leaving this for discussion. Tell me what you think. Honestly!

My opinions:

-having the section that is more for omd may actually make omd bigger. If people see what it's like and how the people are like through that, then it may boost the amount of players (and money for Feerik, who knows?)
-those of us who are artist will probably get more feedback and such. This will be big help with us continuing our passion and making better. I don't mind my poetry being put out there. I've tried quite a few places myself anyways.
-I do like the website idea a lot. It'll be way easier for me (who practically does everything off the iPod) to view it. I have many issues with loading the LI on the board now because of it all being pictures.
-I also find being able to have links an amazing addition. That'll save time from people having to search for the songs :)
-and....it'll make the layout classier, I'm sure. It'll look way more professional (not like it doesn't already :P )

Everyone has already said what I wanted but I just wanted to add something:
- To prevent probable steals, you could try blocking the right-click on the website.
I've seen it on tumblr, maybe it's an easy code and we all know that even if everything has credit and all, people will always try to steal and blocking the right-click narrows those chances greatly! There's always Print Screen yes but quality is missed, sometimes it doesnt work and so no steal yey!
Just a thing I thought you could try ; D
