That really sucks, Rare. Personally, I've always made myself clear about my career choices. And when people started seeing that I knew the fields I wanted to be involved in and all the research I've done about them, they started leaving me alone.

Sadly, some people miss the point of careers. We start careers to get money to be happy, but if you're going to be miserable in a certain career, I don't see any point in going into it.

I say do some more research and think deeply about your career, but make sure it's the one you enjoy the most as well. And always have a backup plan.

I remember we talked before about the industry and so on, if you need any help or need someone to talk to, PM me and we can arrange something!

@Rarity - My parents have planned my life out. They're going to send me to Chamberlain school for nursing as soon as I graduate and then they're gonna make me get a job as a nurse in a hospital while they wait for my admission in medical school. Then they're gonna force me to go and move with me wherever that is.

Here's how I planned my college life and I think it's a good one.
Right after I graduate I'll go into Chamberlain School for Nursing. Get a bachelor's and work in a hospital. I'll pay for my education (If I don't get scholarships) to major in graphic design. Then I'll open a small store with the money I earn from nursing and become a fashion designer :3
I don't need to major in fashion designing to be a fashion designer. So I decided to major in something else I like. Who knows. It can be useful in the future.

The nursing part is my backup in case fashion designing or graphic designing doesn't work. But I'm hoping it will because I have the same problem as you, rare. My parents think I'm not going to survive with my plans. They have no faith in me whatsoever.

I'm writing a DBQ essay. No really this time I am

My parents really could care less about my career choices. So far I know I want to go to college and get a major in photography, in the mean time finding a house/apartment so me and boyfriend can move in together. Hopefully, I'm praying, that I'll be able to buy my house that I live in right now (been in my mother's Father's family for 200 years) and make a horse ranch/photography studio.
