Can I ask a stupid question... Who is the guy meant to be?

I hope we'll (normal players) be able to buy the items after the flirt.

Well most of the players will since they aren't Renting (like me). And the people who are renting and don't have enough money for the Halloween quest will most probably buy feez for the adventure. I know I will. Cause let's face it Halloween Quests are awesome.

This may be a stupid observation, but this guy doesn't look anything like Katy Perry's ex-husband... aside from stubble and tattoos (and lips, if you really stretch).  Plus, his name is not Matt... or close to Matt.

My own stupid question would be:

"when Katy realizes what's going on, she finds a fake excuse to leave you alone with him"

... why would she want to set you up with her ex-husband?  For that matter, why would her ex-husband be at her fancy shindig?

I will be the first one to admit I don't closely follow the twists and turns of Katy Perry's domestic situation (perhaps she has another ex-husband I don't know about), but this answer leaves me scratching my head.

According to the previous "chapter" in the Star Renting story (http://us.ohmydollz.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=6774), Matt P is introduced as:

''Hey, it's my friend Matt P! He's coming here tomorrow! I love him! He's really great and, you know what? He's single!!! Why not organize a party to welcome him? I hope you'll all be here.

Matt P! You doll has always dreamed of meeting him...''

This is a fictional story, maybe he's just a fictional guy... maybe he's not "meant to be" anyone specific.  Just a thought...
