Hello incurable-romantic girls !
a magic air will blow on OhMyDollz, leaving wide open doors to 2 different stories untill Wednesday, April 24th at Noon !
For this reason we ask you to choose between 2 different stories:
Either you can catch the first pair of shoes that you find, clap your heels like Dorothy to join the fantastic world of The Wizard of Oz…
Either you can use a bit of fairy’s dust and fly to a fantastic country where you can seduce Captain Hook.
How does it works ?
Start choosing one of these two men.
you can ask him any of the questions we propose to you, in order to seduce him.
Attention: once you start to answer questions (by buying an item) you have to complete seducing the guy before to start flirting with the second one!
So take your time to read the questions and see the pre-requisites of every guy before choosing!
Once you have seduced Oz or Hook, to seduce the second you will need to spend 150 Fee’z and answer a new questionnaire.
So girls, let’s play!!!
Here is a guide for the Captain Hook side of the flirt. The translation is horrid, but you can get the basic jist of the storyline. I think if it wasn’t for the fact that this is a pirate quest, which worked really well for my pirate doll, there is NO WAY I would be anywhere near this loser. He is such a jerk, he swears, and he name-calls and he’s totally controlling and cruel. Granted, he’s a pirate captain but the fact is, this is still a girls’ game that could do without the name calling, violence and swearing. What a creep. (but the prizes are excellent for a pirate-lady!)
Captain Hook:
Q. Captain, which boat we’re going to attack?
A. That’s the kind of question that makes me happy! It’s crazy attack a ships that carry gold…I like more merchant ships, especially those full of silk and spices.
Buy:

Q. Captain, which is the object that you bring always with you?
A. My compass! She is so precious to me! The reckoning without it is too risky and dangerous! I make it a point to our position every lunchtime with my master pilot!
Buy:
5 DB
Q. Captain, has you a strategy to attack another ship?
A. Hoist the colors of the enemy ship to make him believe we are allies. Once we close enough, just go to boarding! The surprise gives us the advantage!
Buy:
6 DB
*win first level prize*
Q. You like good clothes! Which is your favorite fetish accessory? (OH DEAR! Is this SERIOUSLY one of the questions? I am so disturbed!)
A. Do not forget to call me “Captain” when you talk to me, maggot! It is true, I love the cloth and colors that value my body…I never separate myself from my medallion!
Buy:
5 DB
(seriously? We’re supposed to want to flirt with a guy who calls us ‘maggot’?! Ugh.)
Q. Captaine, which afraid you the most?
A. I have nothig! I personify the fear! Anyway, there’s a thing that I hate more: this d**ed crocodile that sometimes comes close to my boat and taunt me.
12 DB
*win second level prize*
Q. Which is the secret of a Master Pirate?
A. Ah! Ah! Ah! Whip for those who do not follow the rules and rum to reward the obedient. I prefer the whip. Maybe I should make the demonstration.
Buy:
7 DB
Q. Captaine, what do you prefer in a woman?
A. Women are dangerous for men! A only woman, and it’s fight in the crew. However, I am fashionated in front of a woman with a nice dress…
Buy:
16 DB
*win third level prize*
Q. Captaine, you are very mysterious, what do you dream about?
A. About adventures, wealths and battles! And when I will be older, I will find a desert island where I can rest!
Buy:
15 DB
Q. Captain, how can I gain your confidence?
A. You can’t gain my confidence, I will give it to you or not. If not, this will be a bad signal for you. I order, and you obey. So, you can start cleaning the deck.
Buy:
6 DB
*win final prize*
Total Cost: 79 DB, as far as I reckon.
Captian Hook looks like Captian Hook from Once upon a time.
He does, iklovech...he certainly does. (Which is a good thing.) ;)
Also, I agree with you about your assessment of Cpt. Hook, snortmort. I was especially surprised at the cat o' nine tails (whip/flog, etc.)
Just did Hook on an alt. I may do oz later on another one.
Oh My God.. He's a jerk..
Oz is a complete gentleman though!~
I like Captain Hook ! And I love the dress for Oz flirt >.<!!
OH. MY. GOD. Thank you so so much ferik! I have never been happier with anything related to the game!

Oh, how "LOVELY"... another store to add to our ever-expanding list in "My Things". At a minimum of two adventures a month times 12 months... that's 24 new store designations to add to the base 35, or so, that we already have. Add in a couple odd mini flirts here and there, multiply that by a couple of years... this will quickly become a logistical nightmare!
Not to mention that each of these "exclusive" store only contains a handful of items. It is going to be almost impossible to recall which item came from what quest/flirt after short period of time... and a very long list of possibilities to choose from!

Speaking of "long", I know what would go a long way in restoring the remaining "99% again" and "cheer" a lot of players up... the return of DollzStory. I'm only saying what a lot of divas are thinking and wishing... a little help from a fairy godmother or some pixie dust would not be amiss ^.^
Impending pitfall aside... the mini flirt is quite lovely, both in content and graphic quality.

Completely understand and agree...I have people frequently ask me - where did you get that _______ from? - How am I supposed to remember to tell them? I feel like all I ever do is say: "I think it was from a flirt or quest."
And will the items for this flirt be available when another one comes along? Or will it be in a NEW store that is only open for a week or so?
I did the Hook one, one of my other accounts I followed SnortMort's guide on it and the total cost for it was 79 BD like she said. I chose to the Hook one because I didn't care for the dress the Oz flirt gives you lol. I would have preferred the Wicked Witches dress not her dress before she becomes evil.
I really want them to consider this:
Why not instead of keeping the Dollz Story away, bring it with every flirt or quest. This way no one will complain >AS MUCH< as before

I really like the yellow brick road. I think the stuff we have to buy is almost better then the -gifts' we win.
Captain Hook! And Once Upon a Time style too!!! Though I agree that the questions and his answers are... :/
Still, will be doing both flirts on separate side accounts. =D
So how much is the Oz Quest?

I came up with a total of $80.
I really like the items, but the translation seems like the guy translating didn't know what he was doing. Cause um...
The word "fetish" would've made me spit-take if I was drinking anything XD
Like... "Hello? Young girl's game??"
I was wondering...Couldn't they ask the help of our Mods? Or maybe a professional translator? English is one of the major languages you know.
Other than that, I loved this one.
My main loft is pirate themed, so you can imagine my joy when I found this (*cough* Apart from making Hook very annoying *cough*)
I also did the OZ part on an alt. All in all, thanks for a wonderful flirt.

'Fetish' can also mean an item used for magic or something, like a talisman.

I translated one quest story, way back when (I think it was on the other site.)
As French is not my first language (nor have I studied it), I had to use an online translator. (Actually, I used a couple.) Even then, there were a few spots in the story where words were not being translated and I could not get the context. (I had to get a bit creative in those spots. Lol) It was still the best flowing story I've seen (not to toot my own horn or anything.) ;)
Buuuttt...it was rather hard and a bit stressful at times as I didn't want to change that author's actual intent. Unless the online translators learn to recognize slang or regional dialects, it isn't something I'd want to do every time.
Conversely, I'm sure that for someone who's main language is French, translating French slang/regional dialects to our slang/regional dialects is also difficult.
There is that old saying, "Lost in translation." (And I don't mean the movie...although it was good.) ;)
