My dad has the windows 8 and quite frankly i dont like it. You can't download anything on it and its like a tablet so you need apps for it. I dont have the patience to wait for companies to make those apps. Besides, i need to download WoW or LoL :) and GiMP

Getting a used one may not be safe but its a whole lot cheaper than brand new ones. Im looking at vista or windows 7

110 Angel. I downloaded gimp and photoshop and several other applications on the windows 8 computer at work...The tablet thing is only for the Start menu. Other than that, even the disktop and everything works like windows 7. EXACTLY like windows 7...

@kimaly - i was going to wait, but my computer is going crazy an im taking an online class for the summer. Its not like i have computers but getting my siblings off the other one and listen to their constant jabberin on when im gettig off is not gonna work for me.

@darky - really? So you can download stuff. I'd still rather get a vista. Out of curiosity, is w8 better than the others? My dad described it as "a windows phone computer sized"

112 I liked it better. It's much faster and smoother...And I LOVE the new office!!!!!
And yes, you download everything. I got gimp and Inkscape on it. I know LoL had some problems on it when it first came out, but now people say they have no probs with it.

I don't like Vista so much and currently use a windows 7 as a personal. Windows 8 is definitely on my list...

I used my dad's windows 8 for an hour and i wish i hadn't...it was really slow but then again i guess it was just the computer. So I'll look for a 7 or vista and see which on/ cheaper.

I also like used ones because they usually have cool stuff already installed. The last computer i got that was used had a whole bunch of games downloaded onto it. :D
