this sound fun :) but one question...what are the forbidden items?? As in specifically because i have a cute animal  that looks like a teddy bear and was wondering if that counts as a forbidden item.

I agree... enough to log in to the Board (which I rarely do, due to my computer's "personality" quirks :P).

Unless moderators have an inclusive list of "Gifts from Feerik", it falls entirely upon their recall to know which items are/are not "gifts".  The same is true of players, who may unintentionally use a "gift"... forgetting the origin of the item.  Another player, who does recall that a specific item was a gift, would be understandably unhappy to see a forbidden "gift" used.

I have better than average memory and still found it difficult to recall where every wig... or necklace... or dress... or fill-in-the-blank... in my inventory came from, when entering a recent Fashion Show.  For instance, I love this wig and clearly remember it coming from a Christmas Advent Calendar... however, another wig that I have no specific attachment to/memory of could get a doll disqualified.  I did take the time to track down the items I used... but it was tedious.

Perhaps Feerik could add a new category to our "My Things" called "Compliments of Feerik" (or something similar... but not too similar to "Gifts for our Friends") for all Advent Calendar, National Day, Scavenger Hunt, or miscellaneous celebration type gifts we receive?  Currently, those gifts are shown simply as "Collector Items"... which is also the designation for all quest rewards (hence the confusion).  Alternately, I suppose you could leave gifts from Feerik as "Collector Items"... and label all quest rewards as "Quest Rewards"

* If you are talking about this bear...

... it was a Canadian National Day gift (if my recall is correct :P), and would be forbidden.

* Bears that were purchased from a store, such as these...
(Basics) (Basics) (Fall Store) (TV Show Shop)
... would all be allowed.

* Bears that were a reward from a quest, like this one...

... would also be permitted.

* And yet other bears...

... are from Advent Calendars (banned) or flirts (I dunno???).

And that is just a small smattering of the OMD teddy bears out there!

As always, my reply is strictly my interpretation of the information as provided... something I generally avoid doing.  However, I feel the question/suggestion about the designation of "Gifts from Feerik" (which was also raised in the Miss OMD show) is a valid one.  The examples I have posted are in no way "official" without confirmation from an Admin or moderator.

Personally, I think Feerik has done a great job implementing ideas to keep the Fashion Show both fresh and fair.  I am not opposed to forbidden items at all... but knowing what the forbidden items are would be "beary" helpful for all involved, players and moderators ^.^

I think we need to start building a list of things that are Gifts from your friends, from Feerik or la Gazette or National Day gifts because this seems to be a regular thing. Of course it only applies to 'sticky' items so if it doesn't stick we don't need to worry about it. I don't think it applies to the adventure rewards or flirt rewards, just things like the dresses (or in this case bears) from the hunts, etc....
