Oh yeah, you know I think I got another idea too. We could do a spin off. Like use our characters and it would be still SoE but like ... A bit different time. Like we could do a major event that let's say would happen in like a few years from now. And we could make a different topic for it and go slower, with a rule like everybody has to post at least once per page. And we could do this while still RPing in the normal SoE. That of course if Darky has the time.

Okay so, I don't think it would be a good idea to timelapse. Reason being if we ever did want to time lapse, it'd be difficult to merge the two together. It's better to do a complete AU with the same characters, like darky said.

If it's an AU, it wouldn't really matter if the original time lapses.
An AU would essesentially be a completely new RP with the same characters. For example, your story, Darky. This is just an example! But if we used your story, then we'd have the same characters, same personas, just different background, setting, world and story line.

I am Largely confused, but I will try to take what I can from it.
So, there's SoE, and you want to do an Alternate Universe? (Guessing at the abbreviation) But the problem is that if you had both at the same time, one in the future, and one not, you'd eventually have a problem? But then the AU is completely different so it wouldn't matter?

So same characters, same people, but different RP? Sounds alright to me, but there's just the story line, right? I like Darky's idea, even though I have no idea what DG is.
Or we could do something where they're not teenagers, but more toward collage/adults, and discover a gang or something (Random) that uses elements to get whatever they want (Or something) and around that time they find out they can manipulate elements too? I had this Idea at like 2 am when I couldn't sleep, so if it sounds weird, that's why xD

If we do the high school thing, Leon and Ryan won't date because she's too young. And if we do the gang thing again I don't know how that would work for Denise and Ryan because of obvious reasons. 
But a city college oriented stuff would be cool. Of course I can't change backgrounds because you know... That's what made the characters the way they are, at least for Denise ... I guess in any situation Leon would have a long way to dating Ryan XD.
Elias and Diana would also have a long way Darky, because Elias truth to be said started dating Diana mostly to give Tiff some kind of lesson about being nice.

I thought that Denise and Leon could live together. Like maybe they got best friends in the college and now spending more time together. Building up their bromance XD.

Wait, You don't have to restart though...You could have them meet in different circumstances.
Also, given that this is an AU, they could end up with different people if you put in a restart to it.

So di and Elias might not date. And Leon and Ryan? I honestly am not liking this very well now. It kinda is slowly breaking my heart.

I think if you want the couples to remain, you should keep them the same in the beginning. What you could do to keep a new story going, would be to have everyone meet when the RP starts. So Di and Eli would be a couple, but they don't know Leon and Ryan.
