"Wow, I just bought a sensational new video game" The League of Dollcraft "! Since the time I wanted to try, I'm not disappointed.
This game is very simple, it must embody a character and navigate the world: there's intrigue, quests and dungeons in heroic-fantasy universe.
But the most fun is choosing his clan: I have the choice between the clan and the clan of the Elves Dwarfs.
Between the elves of great beauty and so powerful dwarf, I hesitate! And you what would you choose? do you even lift
For this theme Choose your clan play as an elf or dwarf (male or female) and join the battle!
10 am on Tuesday, you can register your Doll Parade at special battle mode "VS Elves Dwarfs"
You have until Monday, December 8 to 10 hours to register for this theme, enjoy it to the end!
Warning, each side with its own prerequisites!
CLANS OF ELVES
Elves are magical people and immortal, living mostly hidden in the forest, among the common people of nature.
Large, slender, hypnotic eyes, the elves are recognizable by their pointed ears. Led by Thranduil or Lady Galadriel, they are magicians or outstanding healers.
The surround prerequisites:pointy ears
Prohibited: red hair
CLANS OF DWARFS
Proud and courageous dwarf's are an ancient race living in the mountains with their treasures and dragons.
They are small yet very tough! They are warriors in armor or protective, ready to celebrate with their king Thorin!
(info: You do not have to make small dwarf if you do not succeed!)
The ambiance prerequisites: facial hair (hair, beard ...) russet or red
Prohibited: the elf ears
To register for this show it will also meet the following prerequisites for the 2 clans:
Use at least 1 item from the Crystae store
Use at least 1 item from the Cosplay store
Forbidden:
- The second character (you must submit a clan)
- The wings
- The models of non accessorized quests *
- All the outfits made including those quests, shops and cabinets *
- The gifts for friends or Gazette
* WARNING: will be considered 'ready made' non-customized outfits, even for the quests already dressed mannequins. You must customize your dress / fashion model with maximum components (50%)
It will not be used:
I'm just wondering... how can you create an "elven" look without using "elf ears" ?
I see... you can't use "pointy ears" if you are creating a dwarf. (in EQ lore, there ARE a few femal dwarves without beards but they are considered ugly by most male dwarves *winks*)

I believe it's only prohibited for those who will dress as dwarves :3
@Sierra- Lol I thought that too but after another look, there are two different prerequisites and prohibited items.
If you are dressing up as an Elf:
The surround prerequisites:pointy ears
Prohibited: red hair
If you are dressing up as a dwarf:
The ambiance prerequisites: facial hair (hair, beard ...) russet or red
Prohibited: the elf ears
I was also wondering why red hair is prohibited if you are making an elf but then I realized that whatever is required to use for an elf look is prohibited for the dwarf look and vice versa.
As you can see by my edited post above, I also figured that out as well. :)
I've known plenty of red haired Elves, that's kinda discriminating against them. I suppose that their reasoning is that when we are voting and we see someone with RED hair, we are to automatically and presumably determine it's a dwarf, as opposed to the Elf.

To someone who has played Everquest, that (the above quote) is a bit laughable considering there are High Elves who mainly live in their (snobbish) grand city. Dark Elves (Drow) come from a cave type environment while Half Elf (human and Wood Elf/High Elf mix) also comes from a cave type town. And not only can some heal, but they can cause a great amount of damage to those mobs they are hunting.... but I digress.... maybe I'll enter =)

Do you need multiple characters or are you only allowed to dress up your doll?
Even without playing a game with elves, I am obsessed with them. Books about elves are the ones I love.
Their' just like people, it's a bit sad that their description sounds like a well kept hermit ^^
Sorry to bother but I can't understand this part
The models of non accessorized quests *

I think what they mean is that you have to use dollz that you yourself have dressed up to look like elves or dwarves. like you cant use characters that are fully dressed.

I have a doubt: I have a dress from the Medieval Quest that I intend to use with the hair and parts form other quest and stores. Is this considered "ready made" outif?
This appears to be "The Hobbit" oriented. Based on that even women dwarfs have to have beards because as it states in Tolkein's book; all women dwarfs do indeed have beards (or sideburns). Plus the names like Thorin and Lady Galadriel. I would watch the movie for reference if anyone is wondering about what their elf/dwarf should kinda look like. Plus its just a great movie!
Wasn't RED hair with pointy ears prohibited? Since having red hair would indicate you were trying to look like a Dwarf? I'm looking at the entries and as probably everyone has noticed...... 'there's a LOT of red-headed Elves!'
Forbidden rules were WINGS and SECOND Character, So be careful in your voting!!!
and you are a warrior-weapons encouraged, but some elves have pouches I guess for like magic-which to me seems okay because they are magicians and healers.
I love the dwarfs, especially the ones med to look shorter. hoorah for dwarfs! I hope one wins!
The two below definitely are NOT Elves or Dwarves. If anything, they are fairies. Will they be disqualified? Just curious.
Not only do the dollz in the last two pictures have red hair, which is FORBIDDEN, but the orange looking things on one of them are wings which are also FORBIDDEN.
I have a doll on each of the servers, from French to the Turkish. I checked the Turkish Fashion Show and there probably was one elf out of every 20.

So did nobody read the forbidden list is says that the second character was forbidden. You have to submit a CLAN as in more than two people!!!!! I followed the rules exactly but not a single other person did. I am a little upset by this. I spent a lot of time creating all my people to set up a CLAN of ELVES and not just a single character. It even states already dressed mannequins are not excepted so the undressed ones are exepted.

I thought a clan was forbidden? I asked but I don't think anybody answered. The rules can be confusing I find

unless the one to the left plays dragon fable(where 3 wind elfs DO have wings) and took inspiration from the wind elfs...
but still, wings are among the FORBIRDEN ITEMS, so...
in case anyone is curious. i only remember to have seen 3 winged WIND elfs in total. all the other elfs (even most of the WIND elfs) did not have wings at all.

I thought a clan was forbidden? I asked but I don't think anybody answered. The rules can be confusing I find
it says right there "YOU MUST SUBMIT A CLAN" the definition of clan is:( A clan is a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent.) so everyone should have submitted a clan and not a single person.
I can understand why everyone gets the rules confused every show because the person who translates is probably using an online service or something so that the english may be correct in words but not in grammar. so when they mean to say one thing they are actually saying something else.
Why would they type "you must" under forbidden items instead of required items?? It doesn't seem right. It must be a bad French translation'. However that's not your fault.
And under required when it talks about clans I think meaning either elves or dwarfs instead of fairies - not meaning that more than two is required, otherwise it would be under required instead of forbidden. Who knows?
The rules are usually definitely confusing. It also takes some time to find the rules. Sometimes I can't even find them, or only at the last minutes... So most of the times I don't even join the shows, no matter how much I want to...
But it doesn't matter if there are rules for the fashion shows in this board on time or not... I think a lot of people just don't read them at all. They don't bother with reading the rules, just dress their dollz as they wish.

Wow to me it looked like a gold cape or wrap as part of the purple gold outfit. You have to admit it looks like it could be a cape--and it is not just a matter of interpretation or my opinion. With that outfit are light purple feather wings! How can they BOTH be wings. http://blog.feerik.com/wp-content/uploa … tape71.jpg

The gold object is clearly wings and the purple ones that goes with that outfit are also wings. A cape wouldn't be just on each side of you at that length, like wings would be.
There are wispy Fairy wings which are similar to butterflies and feathery wings that would be like birds. Both, wings.
Also....
If there are to be "rules" for the FS, they are there to be followed or else why bother to have rules. And if it's wrong to point out things that shouldn't belong in the FS, that would be one-sided as in 'only comment about good things.' And for the record, lionesslady, I voted for your doll even though to me... those look like wings.
Last edited by sierradane (2014-12-10 20:00:39)
thanks for the vote. But I have never seen wings like that. I have never heard of clearing wings ? wind fairy wings? And I don't play or even know about these 'games' and characters that these outfits represent--Never seen them before but It is fun to see people get excited about it, and believe me I have learned a lot from the background of many quests from these forums.
The purple material cape is not a full cape, from the past there's a red hood cape that comes way out on the sides and not all the way to the ground. More than those even. I would like to see it clearly said from a French mod before I render judgment.
AND there are many weird looking fantasy costume things around the body sometimes, neck pieces point up, oversized pointy sleeves, and since they are fantasy how are we suppose to know if it is wings or just a weird fantasy costume?
I freely admit I don't know what stuff is, I have to guess - we sure are lucky to have you to tell us
I myself with this or another doll have many times questioned wrong stuff and the rules of both FS and Loft show, and comment. Above my other doll gingerjane was trying to help answer about the multiple characters "clan".
In fact, when I don't see the loft show rules, sometimes I have babel fished them to get it on the French site. It seems like every 2 or 3 weeks the rules for the loft show are NOT posted, but the fashion show always is.
lionesslady wrote:

The word "clearing" was a typo on my part. I had meant to type "clearly," meaning... "obviously."
I'm going to post some examples of some of the games and the characters, etc.
From Everquest 2, there is a race called Fairies:
They are NOT elves in any manner but Fairies and they have wings. Not feathery wings but "butterfly-ish" wings.
Everquest 1 Wood Elf (pre-Luclin models):
This race would be around 4-5 foot tall.
Everquest 1 Wood elf (oost Luclin models):
note: "pre-Luclin" was before the creators of this game added better images, making them appear more 'rounded' or realistic instead of a 'boxy' look.
EQ 1 (pre-Luclin) High Elf:
EQ 1 (post Luclin) High Elf:
This race is supposed to be superior than other Elf races. They are around 6 ft to 7 ft tall.
EQ 1 (post Luclin) Dark Elf:
About the same size as a Wood Elf, a little bit taller in some instances.
EQ 1 (pre-Luclin) Dwarf:
EQ 1 (post Luclin) Dwarf:
EQ 2 Half Elf (half human half wood elf or High Elf):
EQ 1 (post Luclin) Wood Elf (my own character)
EQ 2 Wood Elf (my own character)
Fairy:
Picture of some elf with wings (feathery):
I was going to find some World of Warcraft elf images to post but couldn't find anything from that game. (I've never played it) The only images I found were mostly "fan art" and were far too racy to post here.
More than likely in most MMO games that have Elves, there will be those with RED hair. And there will be Dwarves without RED hair and/or without beards. I am thinking that one of the reasons why they FORBID RED hair for the Elves, was to distinguish the Elves from the Dwarves.

The second character (you must submit a clan)
Well by this I understood that we can't have a doll dressed as an elf/dwarf AND a secondary doll dressed as a dwarf /elf because we are only allowed to belong to a clan.
I seriously doubt they would have asked us to dress up a whole clan.
