[Fashion Show] New Theme: King and unusual Queens!

What a shock! I recently met a man, very charming, and it is much closer. But now he tells me that he is a King! But not the kind of King that one would imagine! Despite the fact that, as all the Kings, he proudly wears his Crown, his look is far from conventional but does it not identify a Royal aura. He wants to introduce me to other Kings and Queens more original than the others. As I am new, obviously, it is me who is organizing the meeting...

For this theme be original by creating a King or Queen outfit that changes the ordinary! You can scroll only or accompanied (a King and a Queen max.).

From Tuesday 10 p.m., you can register your Doll to the fashion show "Kings and Queens unusual."
You have until January 19, 10 hours to register your Doll to this theme enjoy it to the end!

To register for this show you will need to meet the following requirements:

Use 1 item from the Crystae Store
Use 1 item from the Cosplay store

Requirements:
-Crown (which is worn on the head)
-Out up of Kings and Queens classic (middle age, renaissance)
-dare the fantasy/futuristic steampunk etc...

Prohibited:
-The outfits made including those cabinets (see below *)
-The gifts to be offered between friends and those of the gazette
-3 characters (the dummy accompanying the dollz must respect the theme!)
* Caution: will be considered as any made outfits the outfits with a non-accessoirisee dress.

What does the last statement mean? I know we should be creating unsual kings and queens (so no classic royalty), but what does the last thing mean? Are we allowed to have a fantasy/futuristic or steampunk theme?

I used another translation and it says "Take out" instead of "out put", so that would mean, perhaps, do not use the traditional types of kings and queens such as the examples they have.

I'm thinking the "dare" part means to "dare to make fantasy/futuristic strampunk etc.. kings and queens". Steampunk should be allowed seeing as how they want you to use an item from Crystae.

Is my SarahSpells all right with the theme?

I checked on the french forum. They encourage the players to try different kings and queens rather than those we are usually accustomed to (eg. renaissance/medieval).

We shouldn't stick to the stereotypical kings and queens. We can make steampunk or futuristic kings (or anything you want)

On the topic where players give advice to other players there is a cupcake queen (an outfit with sweets), there is a rainbow queen, there are several gothik queens, etc.

I believe you could use either one. I also don't see anything wrong with it being two queens, but they must fit the theme.

That would defeat the purpose of the supposed anonymous choices to vote for. (e.g. no names in the actual show)

I actually miss seeing the names, I don't really like not knowing who I'm voting for until after the fact. There was one doll that had won the fashion show twice in a row and I wanted to make sure I didn't vote for her again, but because I couldn't see the names, I ended up voting for her. D'oh! I know I could have checked her loft, but I forgot to before going to the show to vote.

I wouldn't mind seeing what other dolls think up for the different shows.

If you voted for her, it was because you felt that her outfit was the best of the three presented... and, I hesitate to say it, that is what the Fashion Show is supposed to be about: the best outfits.

There are a LOT of issues with the Fashion Shows, one of the biggest being that people do not vote objectively... they vote for themselves (which IS against the rules), they vote for their friends, they withhold votes from exceptional outfits (e.g. "competition") or people they don't like. This is, I suppose, human nature... but it is not what the Fashion Show is ideally intended to be. It is a place to express your creativity and, hopefully, have that creativity rewarded.

Nowhere is this more apparent than in the Loft Show, where your entry is ranked from one to five stars... one being bad, five being excellent. In the Fashion Show, you don't know if someone took a "pass" on a worthy entry... in the Loft Show, you can see your progress by watching your stars. It is extremely frustrating to enter in good faith, with a good design, and receive one star votes... hardly "objective". Now, if your entry consists of an almost empty loft with off-theme or banned items, so be it... otherwise entries should be ranked on merit, not personal agenda or ownership. This is just as true in the Fashion Show... it's just not as easy to observe in real time.

In an effort to maintain consistency and objectivity, I try to use these "guidelines" when voting in the Loft Show... where designs are compared and "weighted" against each other. This, of course, is not an issue in the Fashion Show... where every outfit gets the same "grade".
1 star: off-theme, missing prerequisites, or banned items
2 star: on-theme, but sparse or poorly done
3 star: on-theme, of average quality
4 star: on-theme, well done
5 star: exceptional!!!

For the record, I do not vote in shows I participate in... it seems a conflict of interest to me. Personally, I would like to see no names shown... in the interest of true anonymity and objectivity.

Doesn't under "Prohibited" items, 3 dolls mean 3 or MORE??? Just asking because I saw one with a lot of dolls dressed normal royalty except for the snowman- which was my favorite, now a Snow Woman Queen by itself would have been on theme and cool-hhaha get it-cool! Good outside the box thinking for the snow doll.

No crown on her head... shouldn't this doll be disqualified? Or is it too late in the FS to do that?
