"Yeah . It's a bit cold in the winter... You know bigger houses stay warm harder."




Ryan :
"Hello Tommy." I said with my head on the table half asleep.

Elias :
"Unless you watch family dramas." I whispered back.



Ryan :
"Who's driving?"

Mikah:
"Alright, he should be in one of the lounges.. umm.. ok.." i looked at the bunch of people rushing to and fro, screaming kids and all.

Jen:
"You bet he is," i muttered darkly as we walked over to the coffee shop at the corner.

Mark:
I sighed as I cooled down a bit after settling on a time with the secretary. "You! Get my car out." I barked at the guard standing idly at my door. He immediately made the call as I changed my coat for something silkier. I began to smile as I felt it. You know what they say, if you're going to lick the shoes of the Devil's advocate, you better do it while looking fan-bootlicking-tastic.

Mikah:
"A fatter and.. balder version of me." I say, heading towards the directory near the luggage counter.

Mikah:
"Ah, well he's not actually bald, so to speak. But close. Kinda like how I would look in twenty years." I smiled down at her and glanced up again, this time catching sight of his back.
(fatter than this of course but his face is how I imagines it)


"There. Come on," I yanked on her hand as we dodged through crowds, and once I was right behind him he turned around and smiled at me.
"Ay, little bro! Watcha doing here? Oh, meet my lovely wife, Fiola!" He spoke in his hard-to-contain way like he always did, and it brought memories.
"Hi," I don't even spare her a glance as I introduce Gina.
"Listen, baby bro. Why didn't you call? You didn't even come to my wedding!"
"Like I was invited to it."
"Aw come on, you knew where it was!"
"Still, didn't receive an invitation."
"ok ok fine it was very low-key on account of, well, you know."
"Your many other ex-wives who's out for your head? Yeah I know."

Mikah:
"Eleven and counting," I whispered back to her.
Han stared at me a little and went, "I didn't do anything! honestly every one of them is crazy. Oh not you baby, you're nothing like them," he said, after the look his wife sent him.

Mark:
"Hello, Edith," I said, kissing her on both cheeks before taking a seat across from her in her private room.
"Mm. Mark. So tell me. What exactly happened between the moment Elias walked into your club and the moment he walked out of it?"
I told her everything that happened, taking care not to seem like I was whining to her like a baby.
"Hmm.. interesting. Why is it that Elias, just another famous actor is scoping out talent for a lowly magazine? That's normally the job for agents.. unless he has another motive.. No he doesn't know, If he knew he would have done something a lot more direct.. hmm..."
She started doing that thing she does when she thinks too hard and blurts everything out.
"They were very interested in her, if that helps," I blurted out.
"Of course they would be. Who isn't?" She snapped at me and I instantly went silent.

Mikah:
His wife smiled as she replied, "Thank you," in a very noticeable middle-eastern accent.
"Anyway, Um, Han. I actually didn't come to wish you a happy honeymoon or whatever-"
"I already know, Mikah you little-"
"OK. OK. Umm.. I actually.. uhh.." I couldn't say it.
He narrowed his eyes at me. "Are you trying to say what I think you're trying to say?"
I looked at him a little scared. "Uhh.. I.. guess?"
"Oh heeeeell no. No. I am not doing your dirty laundry for you again. Nope." He was rigorously shaking his head from side to side, and stepping back.
"Come on man! Help your little bro out! When was the last time you talk to her?"
"Son, I'm telling you, you know I would sooner have all of them crazy women finding me than talking to her."
"You owe me! After keeping your identity a secret from not two or three, but all of them!"

Marie:
"Oh we're not taking a motorbike but obviously Mikah did...Let's get some coffee before my head explodes."

Gina:
"...This is gonna be legal right?" I asked him again softly.

Jet:

I shook my head. "More people ride them incorrectly then any other vehicle though... But I could go for a latte."

Jen:
"A frappe for me," I say to the waitress.

Mikah:
"...uhh... m-my.. uhh.." Nope. Still can't say it.

Han's voice was a little high-pitched as he talk on the phone.
"Can I please talk to Mrs. E?...Alright.. Th-thanks,"

Mikah:
"Short for Evil, we always used to say," I whispered back.
Han looked over at me and shushed me. "Watcha saying that for now?!"
"What? She asked!"
"Shush!"
"Don't shush me! He just shushed me again!" I angrily said to Gina.

Mikah:
"It's his fault-"
"Shush! She's on the phone!" He mouthed at me, and I instantly shut up.
"Hi!... m-m-"

Mark:
She had taken an urgent call.
"What do you want, Han,"
"-mother. I-I j-"
She sighed real deep before replying.
"You know, you really need to do something about that stuttering you do whenever you talk to me. Now speak up. I haven't got all night. I'll be seventy-two before you tell me anything at the rate this is going,"
Even on the phone berating someone else I felt like she was verbally abusing me.
