** FRIDAY** Last day to guess a goddess... giveaway ends at rollover today! Good luck ^.^

I have always been a huge fan of Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology... there are so many interesting, entertaining, and inspiring plots and personalities. Currently reading "Heroes of the Valley" by Jonathon Stroud, but you don't want to hear about that... tell us about the GIFTS!

No soldiers hiding in giant wooden horses, no portentous pomegranate seeds, no tree transformations... just a simple contest. I have many favorites among the gods and goddesses, heroes and heroines of Greek mythology... but I have always identified strongly with one in particular. The first 10 divas to correctly guess who that is will get a gift of their choice. Okay, maybe it's not so easy... there are a lot of awesome stories to choose from, literally a "legendary" cast of characters *tee hee*

In order to give as many players as possible the chance to get a gift, you may only enter using one account... but you may send your gift to any account. Simply post your answer here! Board rules require that you use only one account on the Forum, so please include the name of the doll you would like to receive the gift, as well as the gift you would like with your guess.

You have one week... the gift giveaway will end at rollover on Friday the 20th, or whenever I receive 10 correct answers. Winners will be posted then ^.^

To assist you on your heroic quest, I will eliminate both Atlas and Hercules... and all the other male gods/heroes from consideration. It appears that the odds are, indeed, in your favor... the list of possible answers has dropped by half ^.^

To make it fair to those who made a male choice before the hint was issued, those divas get a "do over"... since all future answers should be of the female persuasion. Please guess again, angelfire and cullen97.

Athena...she's always been a favorite of mine from Greek Mythology. (Although Isis would count as the Greeks adopted her and she's REALLY my all-time favorite)

How appropriate... that's probably what Zeus said on the day ATHENA "sprang" into existence. You don't mess with a woman who batters her way out of her father's skull, full grown and fully armed... a woman who is also the goddess of wisdom and war!
