"I am, Father." I said smiling.
He walked over a hugged me. "We missed you."
"I missed you well."
He looked at Val. "Who is this beauty?"
"Father, I would like you to meet my wife, Vanessa. I married her while we staying a small village during the war."
"That so? Then she's lucky to having fallen in love with you my boy." I could see my mother rolling her eyes out the corner of my eye.

Oh boy....um....say you came from Syngra. It's a really small village on the edge of Greece. You were poor....so you came from a farming family. Barley was the main crop....last names ain't much...just say your father was a mercenary or something! "War stories...." Do I remember any?

You could always say you don't want to talk about it...You prefer talking to the family you missed than about the war you've been in...Or is that against Greek traditions?...Remind me to study Ancient Greece more when we go back.
