Lau:
I think that was the first time I was serious that day, "...I don't know...I just...I feel betrayed. I grew up all my life thinking my dad was a worthless man who deserted me and mom...only to find out know that he thought I was dead...Then again, I always thought mom and I were close...and now I find out she had known Robert for a while now. She even got married without telling me. Imagine if I would have done the same. She would have killed me right then and there!"
Raina:
"Yes but she is your mother. She was afraid of what you would think." I say putting a hand on her shoulder. "If you just talk it out, I'm sure both of you can come to understand each other."
Lau:
"I won't forgive her until she's nicer to Bec." I sipped some of my smoothie before asking, "When did your dad tell you about your mom?"
Raina:
"Let's see. I started to train to defend myself when I was six. Then when I'd grown accustomed to holding a bow and arrow and swinging a sword, my dad told me. That was around when I was 10. It got me ready for what was to come but I was still surprised when the monsters came. I think it was when I was 13?. Maybe 14. Something like that." I said. "Then we moved here and I started high school and went to camp in the summer. Usually in the summer."
Lau:
"Wow... Ten? I'm still having trouble believing even now. I wake up wondering if it was a dream at times. How was your first meeting with your mom?"
Raina:
"I've always looked up to her. My dad would tell me all the stories and I know and every one of them by heart. Mother had always been my favorite. But when she did come to see me, it wasn't exactly coming in front of me. It was like she was there but not there. Very ghostly. But I felt her hug me and tell me that she loved me and she'd always watch over me. Then I felt her kiss my cheek and she was gone. Since then, I've always called on her whenever I needed help with something difficult."
Lau:
I smiled at her. That was just ... so sweet. A different side of Raina. Putting my hand on Bec's, I decided to change the topic. I noticed that he always became so quiet when the topic of parents came up. I wasn't sure if it was because it made him bored or because he wasn't comfortable.
I was about to joke around when my phone rang. Not recognizing the number, I answered.
"Hello?"
"Is Becquerel around?"
It was Daniel!
"Yeah he's ar..."
He cut me off saying, "You need to come here...NOW!"
Raina:
I could hear the voice from the phone. "Where to?" I asked.
Lau:
He sounded furious, "My home.. now!!;"
Raina:
"Well that was quick. Let's go?"
Lau:
"Uh...I'm not sure he wants us for a good thing." I said getting into the car.
Raina:
"Good or bad. I didn't expect him to call so soon." I said starting the car again.
Lau:
"Out of curoisity...what do you think of him so far? I can't seem to understand him yet."
Mikaella:
"Well, I think he's pretty cool... He's such a rebel! Hihihi, he's so cute... Anyways, I wonder what he wants... Maybe he's in trouble... Or maybe he needs help with homework or something, though it seems quite unlikely... Oh, I hope he's alright..." I said, and stared out the window. This ride couldn't pass by quick enough...
Raina:
"Hmm...I don't know. It seems as though he doesn't want to be a demigod. But he loves his little brother. According to Leon, he wants to be friendly, but from what I've seen, he doesn't easily trust people unless its for his benefit. Overall he's very business oriented."
Lau:
I chuckled at the two girls' replied. One was getting an overly lovey-dovey crush on him. The other...well...I mean...is more objective maybe, "He's a CEO, isn't he?" I asked Raina. We were now parking by his house...uh...mansion's gate. On seeing us, the bodyguard who escorted us earlier immediately said, "The master is waiting for you...It's an emergency."
Raina:
"We're popular already." I muttered. We went into the mansion and I kept my guard up for anything.
Lau:
Daniel was walking up and down the room angrily. On seeing us, he stopped and said almost mechanically, "They took Leon."
Raina:
"Who?"
Daniel:
"I'm unsure...They want me to retrieve an object ofsome sort...They're using Leon to make sure I do...Something about a scroll of my mother's for a prophecy."
Raina:
"Athena? She has a prophecy? Why would they ask you?"
Mikaella:
I gasped. "What ?! Oh, Daniel, that's terrible! I hope he's alright! We must come up with a plan and get him back immediately. I wonder why your mother is part of a prophecy, though... But it doesn't matter. Do you have any idea of where they might have taken him, and who exactly might have taken your brother Leon ?" I asked, full of worry, but full of determination, too.
We must find Leon. We must make sure he is safe. His life is in our hands, now. We must return him safely to his home. But I know we could do it.

I sigh, "Do you know anything bout the prophecy? Where'd was Leon when he was taken?"
Daniel:
"I don't know why they asked me. All they quoted was 'Only a child of wisdom would see through'...i went to the study to answer a phone and came down to see a man.. I think he was a man at least...dressed in black with a blindfold. He told me if I were to see Leon again, I have to fulfill the prophecy and then quoted that part."
Bec:
I frown, "We can always ask Chiron. We'd need to get to camp, though."
