Older items

Hello guys!
So... I don't know if this has been suggested before, if it had i'm sorry ^^"... a lot of the very old items (from the beginning of omd) are very... well... not extremely good looking. The style of omd changed to the point where I feel like some of those very old items are unwearable, they'd blurry and lower quality compared to the new items. Not to mention that some of those items are terribly expansive for what they are. Anyone that's still interested of doing the flirts now would notice that they're paying a lot of $$$ for very under quality items. So I suggest either remaking the items to fit the current style of the new or lowering their prices.

One artist did just that a few years ago ~ I think the post was called, "Relooking." Can't remember who it was off the top of my head, but it was cool to see their updated versions.

It'd be great to see the came concept applied to those remaining older items. I really liked the styles and uniqueness of the items, but they'd benefit from a new look.

I belive it was amethyst (according to one short red dress I have)

I agree that many of the old items need to be re-made.
But I would rather if they'd just improve the graphic quality instead of completely change the item like amethyst did. I mean, I liked the old design of the aforementioned red dress better than the new one. The new one is nice too, but I wish they added it instead of replace...

The thumb is still using the old style, so we can compare them:

The old version did not have bells and had a different "skirt" style than the new version; without a dome shape and as if the doll was holding one tip. And it did not leave the soulders completely bared (I don't know the name in english of those ribbon-things over the shoulders of sleveless tops. In portuguese, they're called "alças"). Also, it looked like a simple dress, and the new one looks more like a top+skirt combo than like a plain piece of cloth.

Completely agreed, they should just recolor them or edit them a bit not change the design... or if they can't be bothered actually redoing the items just change the prices... a few examples are items like this :
priced at 20 when newer items that look better are way cheaper like this or this both priced at 12

This is a relook I really disliked from Amethyst (who is one of my favorite stores):

The older version was maybe a bit outdated but still cute, the newer version is just...weird. Those wings, I just can't...Are they broken? The poor thing.

I think a good many of the older items should be updated, but just given cleaner or softer lines (not those hard lines like in the first skirt shown in the previous post.) The prices should also be downgraded since many are overpriced compared to the new 'fashion lines'.

Not to mention, just recoloring/editing the item a bit is much easier and less time-consuming than remaking it. And less likely to convert liked items into strange/disliked items like what happened with many amethyst's creations (in her case, I think we should be able to get both the new and the old versions).

Also, is it me or old items that change dollz's positions are a litle weird now? I mean, take a look at the wing-arm in my dollz's egypt room without the items covering her shoulders and neck (wich i added because the arms looked off)

But considering the current status of the wig cap bug, price change sounds like the most likely scenario... (I'd reprice that skirt in rukia131's example to 6~10 $$$)
