Today I'm going to fly. Not that I grew wings (too bad...)! I'm going to fly for the first time in a hang-glide. All right, I'm at the edge of the cliff with a wing on my back. I stare at the sky and start running before jumping in the void. My heart skips a beat, I feel that I'm stalling and the moment after I'm taking off. The air lifts me up, carries me without effort and the wind lashes my face. I'm sliding in the air without a sound above landscapes that became tiny! Euphoria takes me and I smile in the wind, I feel like crying from joy!

Step 4: Cozy nest

This infinite space... is there any sensation more intoxicating than this one? The clouds seem so fluffy and welcoming, I dream of touching them, to nestle in them. They look like cotton candy, I'm sure they are sweet! I would like to be a bird and be able to fly every day... I would come back to my nest in the evening, huddle in my feathers and dream under the stars.

Step 5: The tree house

I can see the top of the trees from here, forests look like moss carpets! This makes me want to build a house at the top of a tree, like a wooden hut but more comfortable. I could live close to the sky and take pictures of flying birds. I would perhaps end up as a sort of contemplative owl, calm and peaceful among its books?

Up there everything is more bright as if there was more life in it. Sometimes when I'm heavy hearted I feel a welcoming and delicate hand on my shoulder, that warms up my soul. And when I fly in the air like today, I can't help looking in the sky looking for it. I'm sure it is here, I'm hearing its whisper in the wind, I'm perceiving movement from the corner of my eye but the the weather makes me tack and I lose track of it again.

As the wind gains strength I see birds struggling against it, especially the migrating ones. I can't tell if I find them brave or if I admire their persistence, pursuing their journey despite all opposition. I can't help imagining myself on top of a huge stone tower, lashed by the wind, its masonry looking strong but also fragile at its top. I have the dizzying sensation that the ground is moving under my feet and that the tower is swaying! It's the crows' and jackdaws' territory.
