Who/What made you watch it (if you did). What did you expect when you started watching it?

So my friend at school is in love with the show and she would always talk about since I was new to anime. She said I woul enjoy it (even though she didnt know what genre I liked) and now its one of my favorites an ob my list of reccomendation

Well, it all started in March when my best friend and I were sitting under a tree, discussing various different things, and suddenly we came across the topic of anime. I told her I had only seen a few, and that I don't particularly like it. (at that time, I denied the fact I liked anime so much) So Holly, being the best friend who knows me so well, she told me about the story, Edward and Alphonse. I was sort of familiar with Edward from a couple of random photos I've seen a while ago. (The only picture I could remember of him was shirtless, ha... What?! I was going through my friend's Facebook photos at the time when I stumbled across it!) So anyways, after our talk, she said I could borrow her entire colection, but at the time, I was all "Sure whatever (I'm not going to watch it)"

So it was the first day of the holidays, I'm lying on the couch, terribly bored with nothing to do, and the bright idea to watch Fullmetal Alchemist pops into my head. I put it in the DVD player, turn the tv up as loud as it could go, and prepared myself for a mediocre anime. Boy was I wrong. Words cannot describe how I felt when I watched the first 10 minutes. And then I finally accepted that I love anime. The end.


Holly regrets introducing me to Fullmetal Alchemist becuse I don't shut up about it. But it's her fault in the first place.

It was somewhere around two years ago?
My father just discovered PirateBay/MiniNova and I was like "Finally! I can download and watch anime!!"
I was sifting around some anime sites and I heard, "FMA", "Ouran", and "La Corda de Oro" a lot so I went with the most bad-ass looking of all, which was FMA.
Being a complete noob, I didn't know wth was the diff. between FMA & Brotherhood so I chose Brotherhood.
I was awed.
Needless to say, I consider it one of my favorite anime ever since.

Again -YUI from Fullmetal Alchemist. Considering I've listened to it over 1200 times... <3

Lol i was watching ouran host club and i was like i know two if the voices. Tamaki's and kyoyo's. Kyoyo's voice was easy and i got it on the first episode. He sounds like sebastian from black butler. Now the embarresing part was that it took me 8 episodes (sorry rare) to figure out that tamaki's voice was edward's in fma
