In English, Our theme right now is Scary stories. We're about to read Frankenstein. I've never read it so I'm excited. I love scaring myself. We've also read some short scary stories like "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dhal. Other short stories we're going to read are:
-"The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson
-"The Masque of the Red Death" by Edgar Allen Poe
-"The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe
-"The Black Cat" by Edgar Allen Poe
-"Boarded Window" by Ambrose Bierce

Also Halloween is coming soon and It would be nice to have a contest for that as well

There are going to be different contests. You can join as many as you want. I don't mind if you use an alt for every one of them, but no more than one on each.

Carve the Pumpkin
I don't see how pumpkins are scary...Even if they do get cut out in a scary way. Oh well. Carve this Pumpkin anyway you want. It can be scary, happy, sad, mad, crazy, exhausted, confused, anything. Make it an original. I'll post all the pumpkins here for everyone to see :)

Cats are scary! And cute. Black cats freak me out. You know the ones that are all black with yellow eyes. The superstition cats. That's what I call them. Whatever you do...don't color this cat black. It's too cute to be black! (I'm kidding...color it any color you'd like. make it pink if you want) I'll post them all here so everyone can see

Put on a costume! But there's a rule here. NOTHING can come form the magic cupboards. Nothing at all. If I see the smallest thing from there, I will not hesitate to disqualify. I have a doll with almost all the cupboard items. So don't even think about cheating. Anyway, you can use any other store you like but please no furniture. If you want to add an animal, then that's okay, but no scenes. If you want me to take a screenshot, let me know. I'll post the screenshots here. Let me know what your costume is though ^_^"

Now what's more scarier than a scary story? Make one up or find one and post that. It can be as long as you want...just don't make it like a 300 page book. I wanna be able to read it in 10 minutes. If you don't want to do a story, then you can do a poem!

That night has come,
That time of the year,
When demons are released,
In search of fear,
To feast upon lost souls,

'Hell is empty,
And all the devils are here'

That night has come,
To play trick or treat,
Children come to your door,
Demanding sweets,
Dressed as vampires and witches,
Fairies and pixies,
Hoping you'll have something,
For them to eat.

Here the werewolves howl,
Hear the children scream,
Hear the black cats meow,
Hear the bat's wings flap,
Hear the wind blow loud,
Feel the cobwebs on your skin,

'It's Halloween now!'

Story:
The door creaked as she entered the house. It was dark but the burning fires of the lanterns outside made it easier to see. She walked on forward carefully touching the furniture nearby. No dust. But in every abandoned home there must be some dust shouldn't there?
She walked slowly to the stairs.This is more terrifying than I thought. She gulped at the thought and continued up the stairs. Every step she took it seemed that the stairs would fall apart of creaking.If Alyssa was right then there must be a red door here.. She walked down the hallway searching for the red door. She walked up and down the hallways,one turn after another searching where it could be.
She stopped dead in her tracks. Her heart beat stopped. She felt something on her shoulder. "Lookin' for mee?"
She looked over her shoulder gasped in horror. She saw the most ugliest thing she has ever seen.It's the witch.. She started to run but the witch caught hold of her legs. She screamed as the witch grabbed her to her death..
Poem:
Children will laugh in excite
As it is Halloween night
They'll dress up as fairies
Dancing in the moonlight
They'll stuff their face with many delights
But who will not attend Halloween?

Oh but is it not Witch Green?
She'll up all night
With potions and things
Thinking that Halloween is a terrible sight!
