146 :( Sad to hear that...Cheer up...You're going to take a break at school :)
145
Yeah...school..my escape
146 And friends, too :) How's school going anyway?
145
Friends *rolls eyes* School going alright. Socially bullied, trying to keep grades up. Yep. Just great.
146 Well...How about OMD friends then?
Bloodsy, do not care a bit about how the high school social life works. You're a great person and they are the ones who are acting idiotically. As you move on in life, you'll realize that high school was simply...sucky? Annoying? Filled with nonesense? Should I carry on?
145
I won't even be on OMD much when I get home. I'm "on my iPod too much"
146 Ah...Well...How about this? Don't use it when you get home right away...Take an hour or two and then get back on?
145
My dad'll yell at me. He gets like this. Makes life extremely hard. He doesn't understand why I use my iPod as an escape. He doesn't understand why I keep it on me. He doesn't understand. If I don't have it...if I dont have my escape from home it allows unwanted thoughts to come up. Like the ones this morning while I was on the bus. "What if I'm suppose to be dead? What if those concrete steps were suppose to kill me? Or that time I almost drowned? Or any of the times I almost got hit by a car? Any of the ways that could've been death? What if I cheated death and he's getting his revenge slowly but surely? What if he laughs each time I faulter?" Bad thoughts this morning...the iPod...you guys help keep them at bay. He's going to put me back into a bad time.
146 Bloodsy, how about you make him sit down and talk? Tell him what you just said. Tell him about school.
145
He won't listen. I'll get the same talk I've always gotten. "My problems are worst than yours."
146 Are you sure? Maybe if you tell him that those thoughts creep into your mind even IF his problems are worse...Maybe that would make him understand. The thing is it doesn't only have to do with problems...It has to do with your general well-being.
145
He won't listen. I'll get that speech. It'll go into the kids, the bills, work, etc and makes everything I have problems with sound so micro and he'll just go off at my thoughts of death...my bad times. I can't tell my mom. I read her that Feeling poem and she flipped before I could to the ends. I can't even write how I feel in poetry.
146 Bloodsy, isn't there an after school activity you can participate in?
14
Dont have the gas to drive me to and from school so nope.
15 Hmm...Okay until we figure something out, can't you borrow a novel from school to pass time at home?
145
When will I have time to sit and read? I'll just get yelled at for not helping. I do everything but apparently don't do anything. But again, they use me as an example for the perfect child. I get called fat more than enough times. They don't know how much I don't like eating and would prefer not go eat.
146 Well, just take it with you. Whenever you're not helping, sit down and read...When you're not doing something, it's more likely that those thoughts would creep in.
As for being called that, just ignore them. I know it hurts, but ignoring them without even acknowledging they said anything would make them stop sooner or later.
145
Yeah...because 5 years of acting like it didn't hurt doesn't stop them.
146 Well...What else would you want to do? Snap back? Not going to happen. Give up? You'll be hurting yourself and losing your future...You owe it to yourself to stay strong. When you get older and get more/complete control over your life, your life will be much much better...So until then you have to stay strong and ignore those who want to pull you down.
145
2 more years? Plus the 4 I'm staying home during for Pre-med? I'm not sure how much more I can take.
146 You HAVE to take more. Besides keep in mind it's only temporary. Time flies by. Believe me. Once one starts college and you get involved in course and activities and stuff, time flies by.
Bloodsy...Can't you get a job?
145
Parents won't let me. Need to "focus on mg studies" plus since my dads unemployed and my moms going to work so he'll need the help at home. We sold the van so we're down to one car.
146 Ah...hmmm...Can't you tutor? That would still be studying right? Actually, why don't you create notes and study guides? You'll be studying, but in the same time, those could be sold. And it would take your mind off of things.
You're good at Math and Chemistry right?
145
Who would buy it? It's high school. They'd rather fail.
146 During finals they will...Besides, you could arrange it with the teacher. Some teachers would like that and in return you could get recommendation letters and stuff. It's not always money. It looks good on your resume, too...And you won't really have to leave the house to do 'work' per se.
I know that several high school teachers use that.
Besides, in college, since most students don't study much in high school, they end up looking everywhere for those notes to help them catch up. I say take the step and I'm sure they will come in handy...At least you'll be studying and you'll have good notes in case you need them in college.
