Hello, citizens. Welcome to the Society.

Here in the Society, the Officials choose.
Where you work. Where you live. Who you love. Which school you go to. What you wear.
What you eat. Even when you die.
It is expected that the citizens of the Society live perfect, easy lives, but all is not what it seems in this not-so-perfect world. Especially when there are rebellions.

Map of the Society

The Society is made up of eight major provinces, which includes:
Acadia -- Forested Province
Camas -- Mountainous Province, Military Stations
Central -- Rivered Province, City
Grandia -- Farmland Province
Keya -- Farmland Province
Oria -- Flatland Forested Province, City
Sonoma -- Shoreline Province 
Tana -- Mountainous Province, Suburban

There are also the Outer Provinces, which do not have separate names but are always referred to as a whole by the Society.

The Farmlands is basically self-explanatory -- The Farms are in this area.

Types of People

The Citizens

These are the people who live within the Society. They follow all the rules and are genuinely good people. They are the Society's favorite type of people, though they would never admit it. They have a clean record and "perfect" lives. Their life expectancy is eighty. The citizens carry around three tablets or pills -- One green, one blue, one red. At the end of their lives a tissue sample is taken to be preserved so that eventually the Society may bring people back to life.

The Abberations

These are the people who may live in the Society or Outer Provinces. These people are rebels and have been reclassified because of an infraction committed by themselves or their family, basically they or their family have broken the rules of the Society, and they must be relocated and reclassified. They have broken rules and have a lower life expectancy than citizens. But these people keep secrets, know how to create, know how to write. They have minds of their own, and are rebels.. They may or may not live with their families -- It depends on the infraction. No tablets or tissue sample for these people. They may be orphans.

The Anomalies

These are the people who do not live in the Society. At least, not any more. They live for the most part in the Carving, a place just outside the Outer Provinces. These people have committed crimes. They have much lower life expectancies than citizens and even aberrations. The Society does not care for these people. Little is known about them.

The Rising Citizens 

These are the people who are part of the Rising, a rebel group, while living in the Society. Of course, these people are treated like normal citizens, since no one knows they are part of the Rising. They have the same privileges as the true citizens, but they are aware of the Rising, as not everyone knows it exists. They are loyal to the Rising but pretend to lead normal lives in the Society. You can say they are like double agents.

A warning for bending the rules of the Society. The next step is an Infraction.

Official

One who oversees and controls different things.

Plainclothes

Plain black or brown clothes that are worn daily by the people within the Society.

Welcoming Day

The day a baby is born. This is the only birthday the baby's parents will be allowed to celebrate. This is also the day which their names are given along with a small multicolored tablet to immunize the baby from all illnesses.

Match Banquet

The Banquet where sixteen-year-old boys and girls from all across the Province gather in fancy suits and dresses in City Hall to be presented with their Match or life partner. The Officials will call the names in alphabetical order and will present to them their Match, whose picture will be shown on the grand port. They will receive a silver box with a microcard which includes their Match's information. A once in a life time opportunity, these people are allowed to choose the color and shape of their garments -- dresses for girls, suits for boys.

Microcard

A small card which includes ones' personal information, such as their date of birth, favorite activities, favorite color, family, names, future careers, favorite memories and of course their Matching status.

Port

Kind of like a giant touch screen television, installed in every home. It is used solely for news and communications.

Miniport

Like a port, but smaller, and it is also used to transfer data, take notes and review microcards. It also has a tracking device to track one if they are lost or have escaped.

Final Banquet

Like a funeral, this banquet is held at the age of eighty, when a person is about to pass. They are offered the choice to choose what they want to eat, and any requests they may have are fulfilled.

Green Tablet

A tablet green in color that calms one down.

Blue Tablet

A tablet blue in color that slows you down until it eventually kills you unless someone comes to save you. But the citizens of the Society do not know this. They think that the blue tablet will save you in times of need.

Red Tablet

A tablet red in color that makes you forget all that took place in the past twelve hours.

Foilware Meals

Tasteless, mass-produced meals that are given to all who live in the Society. It is packed with the sufficient amount of nutrients and vitamins that each person needs. There are barcodes on the back of the foilware meals personalized for each person.
