This evening is Halloween, i love this holiday! With my friends, we wanted to change our habits: we decided to get lost in the countryside, to party at a village, just to laugh a little! Audrey saw THE perfect thing on Feerikbook: "Welcome to Feerik Hills Halloween village! The circus is in town! I had difficulties to find the place, even with the GPS. We arrive in front of a gate that resembles a big private estate in the middle of nowhere, and Sarah starts to moan. To be honest, this place is scary. Perfect for Halloween! It is gloomy with the evening falling and the mist rising. I doubted on Audrey information, but we can finally see the first decorations! Daphné checks her phone and discover that we do not have a network... good! What a surprise!

Finally, a human being! A disguised young lady is playing some notes on a funny instrument. I call her: "Good evening, we are here for the party!" The music brutally stops. Completely still, she slowly raise her head towards me and stares silently with her look full of makeup. "Heu?" I look at my friends, a bit destabilized. I hesitate, but Daphné talks: "Excuse us, we are searching for the Manor." The lady takes an eternity to move, then she turns reeeeeeally slowly towards Daphné and she just stares at her. I hold Sarah, who is moaning, and in that moment, reeeeeeeally slowly, the lady raises her arm and point towards a forest. "Heuuu? thanks?" Sarah, annoyed, drags us near the forest. The lady doesn't stop to stare at us until we do not see her anymore. Brrr! "Sarah, calm down, it's okay", Daphné says. "Honestly, I didn't really like her attitude." "But she puts us in the atmosphere", says Audrey, "it's Halloween, of course they want to scare us." "Yes, it's true... but she could at least welcome us!"

The night is falling and the forest casts strange shadows on the road. We lit the road with our phones, but a glow appears between the trees... Super, it must be an animation! We move close and discover a scene illuminated by candles. A young lady disguised as a ghost tries to escape from the darkness. She is like the moon that wants to escape from the night... It is too much realistic, i have goosebumps when i see the "moon" disappear in the darkness. We wait a bit before leaving, but the actress doesn't return. "Nice show", Audrey says, "i did not expect that for a small village!" I say nothing, i am not too sure about what I saw. The black hands that emerged from the ground were so real.

Finally, a house! The inside is lighted, the big open door invites us to enter. We hurry, glad to have found a refuge, but as soon as we enter, we realize our error: it's another attraction! The house smells of old dust and moisture, a small creepy salon barely illuminated, a clock that starts ringing the bell! I have no intention to sit on this armchair under the gaze of this portrait. Out of nowhere, the soil is cracking under our feet and smoke is escaping like hell opened! It is too much for me, i turn my heels and flee!

After escaping, i notice that my friends didn't follow me and i stop, breathless. I am in the middle of a clearing, it is night, i'm lost, alone and scared! My eyes are getting used to the dark and i believe i see something in the bushes, movements, could be beasts. Is that... a throne made of branches? An altar? Help! I turn myself without knowing where to run, when I see a silhouette made of darkness. It is coming towards me with its clogs and i see a white glow under the moon. Terrified, i can't move when its hands slowly reach me. ?Aaaaah!? I try to smack it with random punches, but immediately after i ear a male voice. ?Stay calm, miss! Do not scream like that! It's just for fun!? I open my eyes, my heart is racing so much that i might explode. He is just an actor in costume! He got me... my legs are cut off. He offers me a soda to regain my emotions and he guides me at a big door of a fantastic manor, where my friends were waiting for me. ?! Finally! We were worried!? ?I had the scare of my life?? My friends give me the time to feel better while the actor returns to his job, then they offer me to choose how to end the night. Circus of Dreams or Manor Ball?

I need air! I prefer the circus. I don't regret my choice when i smell the popcorn and the sugar, when i see the sparkling lights and the music that make me feel better. All the circus is black and white in a burlesque atmosphere and almost poetic, I love it! The spiral ground, the events, the artists! The mood is a bit particular, not creepy but strange. We are not in our costumes and we eat each type of sweets while visiting different big tents with various artists: knives launchers, tightrope walkers, someone that I think i saw in movies... and i ask myself if I did not see a pair of siamese sisters. Honestly, after all these adventures, i don't want to ask if it's a trick or not! Happy Halloween friends!

Wherever my eyes are, the strange, the disturbing and sometimes the cute mix, I do not even know what I'm looking at! Fountain of blood or red caramel?  Thick curtains that hide the slightest window or the slightest mirror? Flickering candles and dubious decoration? The stewardess who does not cast any shadow on the floor? I squint on the banquet dishes, part of my mind wonders what it is, and the other prefers not to ask the question ...
