Without any remorse, I killed each one of them one by one. Todays events fueled me on even more. I kept thinking about my life in the underworld. How I had missed Tellis and the past two years of his life. And then I realized what I had to do.

I walked over to where Susie was sitting and put an arm around her rubbing her back soothingly. "... You must regret us getting married now, huh?"

Val:
Jeff dragged the guy from us and started leading our run away from the spot. Every now and then some shadow hunter would interrupt us but after a while, we lost them.

I mean...I did live without Malu for the last two years, but ... She's back now and I don't want to let her go again. And you, Susie. You captured my heart. I can't let you go either... I know I sound like a jerk right now, but I have to be honest."

"I just wish that this would all go back to a world where you and I are alone together. That's all. But I know that you love her so I won't be selfish and tell you to do anything, you don't want to do."

Tellis;
"Yeah. Like Sylvain interrupting us! That was a nightmare."

Val:
I really wasn't sure what to say. Just imagining myself in her place, I would have be in tremendous pain. I was sure of one thing though. "He does love you, Malu. You shouldn't leave for good though. Maybe you should ... you know be around for him and the kids. Get to know them again? I know it's hard seeing him with Susie, but ... I have a feeling you two would rather have each other in your lives than not at all."

I sat up and smiled at Malu, "Welcome back." Looking at Susie, I got up and said to Malu, "I need some fresh air. Wanna come with me to the balcony? You always like it there."
