Matt:

"Torture...?" I couldn't bare to hear that remembering what happened to Eva when she was little and how she still bares those marks.

Kawyn:

"She moved out with Eva."

Kane:

"You'll probably die here, just so ya know."

Val:
It was not something I wanted to hear. For all of those years I blamed myself silently for Eva's pain. Lucian was hurt and he hurt her...and it was because of me. I had a suspicion that Fel was targeted because she inherited my ... abilities. And foolishly, I was thinking of having another child... only for them to get hurt too.

I felt my heart shatter hearing the doctor's words but I dared not say anything. I'd have fell apart if I said anything... And I needed to be strong for both Matt and Fel.

The doctor gave us an encouraging smile, "She's a strong girl though. She'll make it. We're still running tests but we think almost eveything will be superficial... She just needs you two by her side."

"If I remember the way. So she should be at her apartment, right?" I said starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot.

Matt:

I gripped Val's hand tightly. "Thank you, doctor. She gets her strength from her mother."

I gave Matt a smile. I had to really stop myself from hugging him so hard right now. Managing to my voice, I asked, "Can we see her?"
The doctor nodded and said, "I think she's awake."

"I could surprise you." I grinned.

We slowly and achingly walked into her room. She was lying so still on the bed. I stopped and couldn't go further, so I gave Val the room to do so.

Kane:

I yawned. "Doubt it."

Kawyn:

I pulled out my cell phone and dialed Eva.

I kissed Matt's cheek to give him strength before going over to Fel and running my fingers through her hair.

Eva:
I was getting ready for ... going out when my phone rang, "Hello hello."

I stirred as pain courses through me. I shuddered at the touch.

Kawyn:

I put the phone on speaker. "Fel home?"

Kane:

"You're boring. Hah, here we are!." I opened the door to her new home. "Inside, puppet."

I took my hand off on seeing her shudder. "Fel..." I whispered letting my tears go for the first time.

Eva;
'Not even a hi?" I asked with a chuckle. "Nope. She decided to stay with mom and dad yesterday."

I blinked. The bright light hurt. It hurt real bad. I kept my eyes closed. I slowly reached my hand around. I was afraid of ehat what or whom I may touch.

I held her hand gently, 'It's okay, sweety. Daddy and I are here... You're home." I took Matt's hand from nearby and placed it on hers with my hand on top.

I let myself relax a little. I was afraid I was being tricked some more.

I heard Daddy's voice. I hope it was daddy's voice. I was still too afraid to open my eyes.

You're safe now, my little princess... Fel, you're home with mommy and daddy now... I said for a second forgetting she was now grownup. All i could see is my little fragile baby girl.

I slowly opened my eyes. The bright light still hurt. I looked in their direction and was so happy to see it was really them. Tears started to stream down my cheeks.
