Aww, I missed a day of collecting the gifts. I hope on the third day I'll be able to get the cross from day 2.

I missed collecting on the first day with one account but was able to get the same gift as my other account had the previous day so hopefully it doesn't matter when you collect the gifts.

I haven't finished the quest yet, but I would think the chest would act like the robots we got last year for Valentine's Day (and another quest that came with a robot.)

With the robots, you collect one gift a day until it runs out.  You didn't need to collect it every day, just once a day until the gifts ran out.  One of my dolls still hasn't finished collecting the gifts because the robot appears broken (to the player owning the robot) once you do...so, I probably will never collect that last gift so it doesn't look like it's broken when I sign in. 

I would guess the chest works the same - 7 gifts total that you collect once per day whenever you wish...you could probably collect the gift once a month and you wouldn't miss any.

I'll probably do the same with the chest  as I did with the robot (unless the last gift is really good), because once you collect the last gift the chest will no longer glow.  If I like it glowing, I'll leave the last gift forever. Lol

If I'm wrong on this, someone please feel free to say so (as I would hate to see someone miss a gift because of my error.)

I have been watching this competition with great interest... it appears that it is too close to call right now!  I am looking forward to seeing if Team Zen or Team Caledonia wins ^.^

This is a much fairer competition than the Steampunk quest (http://us.ohmydollz.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=5000)... which pitted a ROOM against a DRESS. Not just any room, but the long-awaited, much requested ANIMATED Steampunk room against a color-changing dress.  Not that it wasn't a lovely dress, but it certainly doesn't compare to an animated theme room with a huge pop-culture following!  Perhaps, if the dress had been "paired" with an exclusive $7 salary to "even" things out... maybe.

Yes, missing out on the team "prize" still grates... since the outcome was never really in question *sigh*

Anyhow, I am glad to see a "room" against a "room"... and I do hope that future "matches" will be similarly paired (for example, exclusive career/salary against exclusive career/salary... etc).  The Buddhist temple might have a slight advantage, since we do have other "tropical-ish" rooms (Beach, Hawaii, Australian Veranda)... but, so far, the two look to be fairly evenly matched!

I am not seeing a discount in the Luxury store. How do we get it??? I was hoping to use my last few dollarz to get to the next level on spending gauge.

Oh I'd forgotten about the discount! Let me check which side won.

So if the lacey gold dress is $119 the discount is in effect on your account (it should be $170)

The treasure chest is shown in the underwater picture of Sarah's "News" post... it looks like this:



If you search your "My Things" pages backwards until you reach the pages where the underwater items are found... the chest should be located between the water panels and the mermaid outfit.  Alternately, it is categorized as "Decor" and will be found somewhere near the ship's hull and diving cage ^.^

Well I did both parts of this quest but yet no discount.

It was shortly after...the New Caledonia team won. The discount is now over. :(
