I look up and tentatively take the frock. Chess mrrps as I hold it up gingerly. I nod to him and he coats me in blue butterflies, exchanging my torn clothes with the pretty frock. "Hihi, thank you!"

"Because I can sleep outside here, if you want. I can sleep on the porch. Or on the ground. Or, perhaps in the moat, if you'd like, but I should face upwards so I can breathe. So, am I granted permission to enter the sacred house of Queen Snow ?"

I look up at the castle. It's really huge. It's beautiful, too. I think it's made of marble. Or something like that. It's really shiny. And the windows are really beautiful.

I sit there quietly, looking around the room. It's really beautiful. I think back to the times my father used to read me stories about Kings and Queens who lived in castles like this. They resembled a lot to the ones in real life. Hey, come to think of it, Queen Snow looks like that Snow White princess, really...Maybe it is her. I'll ask. Maybe.

"Umm...Queen Snow ? Do you know the story of Snow White ? Like, I mean, the fairytale ? Well, umm, I think you kind of look like that Princess, you know ? Except, more Queen-like. Very Queen-like. Maybe the story was based off you ? But like, in a good way ? Perhaps ?"

I decide that tomorrow, I will ask her about a soldier -- an allied soldier -- who was killed on the battle field. Perhaps she will know who he is. Or maybe Miss Alice, I think, as she turns and looks at me. Is she reading my mind right now ? If so, can she ask Queen Snow about the soldier ? It would mean a great deal to me, I think hard at her. Please.
