Just came back from cookie selling. God this morning was the most stressful ever!

Okay I'm sitting down, relaxed and shtuff and I shall tell you about this morning:

So. Every year at school we have this one week very similar to spirit week however it's for celebrating different cultures and diversity. We call it "Heritage Week. It starts on monday and goes on till friday. In previous years the hype went a little down but SGA wanted to pick it up again. SGA is in charge of it every year and the event hype reflects how active SGA is in essence.
Anyway, so we decided to do all sorts of things, Monday was flag day, where everyone sees flags of countries and puts it up on the balcony for everyone to see as they enter the school, Tuesday was Cultural food day, Wednesday was Dress your culture day, Thursday was a fashion show, and Friday was the annual Assembly where people dance or sing something from their culture or related to a culture.
Thursday afternoon was the dress rehearsal and I ended up doing mic stuff. Just checking volume and all that.
Everything was perfect and wonderful. Then came Friday. School starts at 8:20 and the assembly started at 8:30, so we had about 15 minutes to get ready.

1st problem. One of the groups had they're music cut out by a whole minute so we had asked them to give it Friday morning. They gave us the CD but we had to rip it and put it into another hard drive and we couldn't figure out how to do that. Minor problem but the start.

2nd problem. We don't have a central computer and one of the students had left his (J). Little did we know that J had a password on it and we spent 10 minutes just trying to get there. We tried calling him, no response. We tried skyping him, nope. Eventually two teachers had called the Career Center (where J was) and got the password.

3rd problem. We couldn't find the program we had been using the night before. We knew the name and everything. But we didn't know where it was. We tried searching for it in "My Computer" and even in the start menu. We looked on his desktop but it was no where to be found. Finally I found it. It was the name of an unzipped folder. We opened it and extracted the files inside and got the application (MultiPlay)

4th Problem. No one saved last night's playlist so all the editing, sorting, fixing, and playing around we did amounted to a lot of nothing. We were like okay minor problem let's just create a new playlist. But no. no. That wouldn't happen either. Turned out you had to open a saved "production" rather than open files of music one at a time. We couldn't figure out how to get music there. By now people already came and began seating and it was like around 8:35ish.
The teachers decided that we'd start with people who didn't have any music. and our whole setup was mixed up. One of the teachers had came and helped us and we figured out the music at around 8:40ish.
you think it stops there? Well then...

5th problem. Remember problem 1? Well with all our mixing upity, we played the wrong track...We played the one that was cut off rather than the one they gave us. You should've seen they're faces. Planning our deaths >.<

6th problem. J named all the tracks. he put the group right after the above as "Track 01" well guess what. There were like 50 (5 actually) "Track 01"s We had to go through them one by one while everyone was watching. The dance team was planning our deaths too.
after that fiasco we went by pretty great. But we had to cut out an act since technical difficulties were too long. We had 2 more assemblies left. We thought we were good. but no.

7th problem. The act we had cut out, they had 6 songs. They were supposed to make it into one playlist on their own and give to us so it looked like one song to us but no. They made our jobs harder. And none of us were from that region, we couldn't even pronounce the words. Anyway, they switched their order on us and got upset with us >.> We fixxed it for the last show but Lord!
My morning was horrid. The rest of the assembly flew by easily. Then I had a test in AP Stat. The questions were phrased in a different way than we learned and I couldn't answer most of them >.<
Then we had a test in APUSH. I got I think 4 or 5 right out of 12?
Then I had to sell cookies :P

Idc anymore. It's the weekend and I'm done with everything. I sent my Doodle4Google pic and finished my APUSH project after coming back from the rehearsal yesterday.
I'm done.
