Suggestion for mods

In the OhMyLoft and Fashion Show section, can we post the winners each week too so we can congratulate them?

Well, to my mind it seems kind of redundant as the winners are already posted on the News page (when you first sign in)...which means you can then go congratulate the individual person, should you wish.

So, to me I think it would just add unnecessary pages to the section. But, that's to my way of thinking. If anyone would like to make an argument for it...I think it's something that can be discussed.

Well, I don't want to have to post a note about the winners since it is announced in the news.. on the other hand I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of having a stickied thread where players could post a pic of the current winners & make comments & whatnot about it.

I would worry about the "comment" aspect of a stickied thread, since some past posts have resulted in negativity. Plus, comments would quickly pile up... meaning you would have to click through pages & pages of posts to find the next/current Fashion Show winner. For these reasons, I would think a simple "archive" might be better. Just my thoughts...

I think it would be nice to have a stickied locked thread with a list of all winners. I know, extra work. I had once thought of making a list such as that, just for my own knowledge or curiousity but the page that the information is basically stored also had the winners from the French server as well as their "weekly trophy" winner & I was overwhelmed by trying to figure it all out.

As an afterthought (cons)...

1) The winners are posted on the News page when you log in... people who want to leave comments usually do so immediately, versus weeks/months later. The current News is generally displayed long enough to allow players to do so.

2) The past winners are already fairly easy to find through the OhMyDollz blog (http://blogus.feerik.com/index.php/Ohmydollz). I don't believe there is a separate section for Fashion Show, but each monthly archive is relatively short... the winners are pretty much visible at a glance.

3) It is undeniable that, some weeks, the Fashion Show creates controversy. Anyone who earns the title through unfair means should not have their dubious distinction preserved on the Forum for all perpetuity.

I'm not arguing for or against, merely pointing out some pros, cons, and concerns.

I like the idea of having it posted here.
I'd like to see how others view the outfit of the winner.

You don't have to make an archive of sorts just the recent winners. And then a new post each week. Like the news on the NEWS category. You wouldn't have to make a sticky, just post the winner each week in a completely different post each time. Though it may take up space...

Anyway...the point is that I'm for this idea

Well, this is my opinion. I would like this because in the News page, you can tell who won first place by the ribbon around their shoulder, right? But for second and third, you can't tell who is who, because there is no way of showing second place vs. third place.
