I love him, snortmort. :') He is just so adorable!!
Congratulations! Your baby looks so cute :3
omg <3
sleepy <3
Cute, cute cute!!
What colour are his eyes?
Btw, I heard if you only touch a baby to change his/her diaper, they won't develop properly. True?
Ivy, he has blue eyes. Apparently most Caucasian babies are born with blue eyes, and they'll change to whatever colour they end up being a bit later on. I think we're safe to say Benjamin will always have blue eyes though, as both his Daddy and I do :)
Annnnd I've never heard of that, but it would make sense. What a horrid thing to even speculate! I would never want to come close to testing it out. We love snuggling our little B and kissing his ever-fattening cheeks :)
Right now he's snoozing on his Daddy's arm before bathtime. Let's hope this little snooze doesn't keep him up too late tonight! :)
Aww! Blue eyes! OK now I must go to see him!
Blue eyes? Don't say he's blond as well. He's gonna be a ladykiller ;)
I think it's safe to say that if a human being in general, not only a baby, won't get enough love and attention they may not develop properly mostly emotionally.
Congratulations!! He's adorable! All the best for the whole family and I hope you settle down well!
aww blue eyes :D they are my fave!!
What an ADORABLE baby!! He must have the most beautiful blue eyes.

EEK!! He's sho cute!!!
Here's a favorite poem of mine that is perfect for little Benjamin:
LITTLE PEOPLE by John Greenleaf Whittier
A dreary place would be this world
Were there no little people in it;
The song of Life would loose its mirth
Were there no children to begin it.
No little forms, like buds to grow
And make the admiring heart surrender
No little hands on breast and brow
To keep the thrilling love-chords tender.
The sterner souls would grow more stern
Unfeeling nature more inhuman,
And man to stoic coldness turn
And woman would be less than woman.
Life's song, indeed, would loose its charm
Were there no babies to begin it;
A doleful place this world would be
Were there no little people in it.
(my gift to mommy mort)
cute boy
Amary - yes, he has blue eyes. And light brown hair, though the hair on the top of his head seems to be blond, as well as the layer of hair closest to his head, under the brown hair. We'll see if his hair changes colour at all - right now his dad and I both have brown hair, but we were both very blond when we were little.
Bloody, Blue, Hayley, Malu and Ivy - thanks, we think he's pretty cute, too :) Although we might be slightly biased... :)
Sleepover - he IS growing so fast it's CRAZY. He's already 5 weeks old and he looks just huge to us now. He's got these big cheeks, a double chin and his arms and legs are getting so chubby! He's certainly not a 'newborn' anymore. I'm really trying to appreciate these moments when he's so small, b/c he's growing so quickly that he won't be little for very much longer. Before we know it, he'll be sitting up, and crawling, and then standing and walking. Crazy!
Karen - thanks for the poem, it's very sweet. Have you ever read this one?

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing and butter the bread,
Sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She’s up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I’ve grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping’s not done and there’s nothing for stew
And out in the yard there’s a hullabaloo
But I’m playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren’t her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
Oh! The blonde hair would go awesome with his blue eyes! Hes gonna be such a heart stopper when he grows up!

Oh yes! Well no...I didn't know the whole poem, but I do remember this last stanza and loved it so much. And it's true. Don't worry about all the surrounding stuff...just enjoy the 'never-to-be-repeated' experiences with Baby Ben.
