I agree. I was also surprised by how big the dog is.  It seems Sarah and/or the other designers seem to have a thing for oversized animals of late. Lol

I guess I'll pretend it's just a well-fed, big-boned dog. lol

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

It's a collar but is unwearable at this time.  There's a thread in the bugs forum about the items not appearing in our "My Things" area plus now mentioning the fact you can't wear that collar.

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

I hope we're not going to be getting an outfit piece by piece (if the 2nd item is a collar to be worn when the bug is fixed). That would be rather disappointing.

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

If memory serves, we have received outfits piece by piece in previous advent calendars, so I'm thinking it will be the same this year.

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

On the French server there was a poll that had asked what colors you liked for Christmas.  I chose "red and green" and it seems like an option might have been "black and white"  *cringes*

I hope that poll didn't have anything to do with this Christmas outfit that might be coming to us a piece at a time.  Black and White, to me, isn't very "Christmasey."

*goes back to dreaming of tinsel, paper and bows*

But why does it have to be that way? To me that seems cheap. It's like wrapping someone's lego kit piece by piece. The novelty wears off pretty quickly.

I know that this is a business but these things they give us for free are just pixels.  It doesn't cost them anything other than a little time and memory space on the server to give us bigger or better things.

I agree, it's not very "Christmasey"...maybe more New Year's-ish?

I might be in the minority here, but I kind of hope it is a black and white outfit we get this year.  While I enjoy the Christmas outfits we get, each year I wish it was an outfit I could wear any time of the year...and with pieces that I can mix and match.

Well...it does also cost them money to pay whichever artist(s) are taking the time to draw them. ;)

historygeek wrote:

I'm guessing the same reason we get so many repeat items in adventures.

historygeek wrote:

I know what you mean (in that each year we know we'll probably be getting an outfit)...but, I do also enjoy trying to figure out what each piece to the outfit might be (and whether or not I'll even like it in the end. mdr)

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

I don't want to sound like a party pooper... but a pair of black boots that we can't wear.... yea...

On the plus side, I do have dolls that are.... *sighs* in need of some cute black boots. hopefully they will fix this bug so we can wear the things we get.

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

Sorry for the slight delay today, been going through Grandma's Holiday Candy recipe box. Glad my doll can't look through them as well, she wouldn't be able to fit into her new holiday clothes mdr

Until tomorrow...

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

The bug affecting the advent items will (more then likely) be fixed...it's just a matter of time.  Don't forget everyone, there is no one "in the office" until Monday.  Bugs that happen on the weekend always take a bit of time to get fixed because we have to wait until the new week for the GM to get any email/s we send.

Patience. :)

Re: Advent Calendar - Behind closed doors 2012

Hmm looks like a pile of cupcakes. All fancily decorated.

How about you guys, any of you capable of that sort of cupcake artistry?

Haven't actually started baking yet this year despite looking at recipes.  I've been trying to learn enough shorthand to translate a Penuche recipe.

Anyone willing to swap recipes if I start a thread over in Dolls Cafe?

Yes? No? Think about it and if you've any interest at all only respond there and have your recipe ready!

You could open it for 15 feez. It won't be hard to get 15 feez from doing the free feez things.

I'm thinking to myself: what's all this obsession with cupcakes at Feerik!!  Give me Christmas decorations ;)  They (the pile of snowmen) are cute though.
