Hi Girls!

The soldes are over and I have come to realize how many clothes a girl can accumulate. Needless to say that I could really use a new cupboard...
I was joking with my friend that we wouldn't have this problem if we lived in the Stone Age, but fashion wouldn't then be this important either. Or what do you think?
Were our ancestors concerned about how stylish they'd look with only animal skin as clothing?

The theme for the next Fashion Show is: Cro-Magnon Dollz!

From Tuesday at 10:00 AM (CET) you can register for the show.

There's time until Monday February 17th at 10:00 AM to make up your outfit, make the most of it!

For this theme, your doll needs to be dressed with things she would have found 40 000 - 12 000 years ago: natural elements, animal skin, woven clothes, etc...

You are allowed to use:

- one or several characters next to your doll (why not a prehistoric valentine's day couple? ^^)
- decoration
- clothes to hide the doll and create a new body shape

You can get more information on the board by clicking on "Details about the Show" on the upper right side of the Fashion Show contest registration page.

You can also ask questions on the topic about the show.

To register this week, you have to:

- Use AT LEAST 1 element from the Amethyst store

You mustn't use :

- Gifts you received from your friends
- Ready-made Outfits (including those from the Chests and the Cupboards)
- Wings
- Modern or futuristic clothing
- Unnaturally coloured wigs (pink, blue, green, ...)

I remind you that if you can not follow the requirements of the subject, it is better to wait for the next contest instead to be banned for non-compliance with the theme.

Make sure your outfit is consistent and complies with the theme before you register.

Also check that there are no objects attached to your doll that you do not want to show. If the object is not attached to your doll, it will not be visible during the show!

Brook, there was a pre-historic level to one of the quest that had a really neat cave dress and stone hammer on a wooden hammer and a black wig with "bones" in the hair! But other than that, maybe some of "western" stuff that looks really old? not cowboy hats, but leather stuff-which is made from animals. good luck!

Why do people insist on entering with "the closest thing they can find"? Also saw "Hawaiian material", modern purses, and even a fedora! sigh!

lol and thus, the reasons why I'm ignoring the shows on this site until something is done about it - just puts me in a bad mood to look through the submissions. I fully understand your frustration, moonglow - particularly since you always have fabulous entries in both the Loft and Fashion shows.

I get tired of seeing the same dolls over and over, the ones who are NOT on theme. And I suppose the only way to stop those dolls from appearing over and over is eventually, one at a time, vote for them.....

I know its a pain, but none of my dollz have ever won this, and my cavewoman has just knocked my caveman on the head and getting ready to drag him back to the cave..hahaha..So please look for me and vote. Don't let rule breakers ruin it for those of us who try so hard every time. thanks.

I guess I should have read this board before I entered... I thought this was one that was simple enough and didn't require me to purchase more items to do. Just a simple dressing and my cat. LOL ... But I'm sad to hear that so many I know are no longer interested in even looking at it, well I guess I'll just chalk it up. Thanks to those who have voted my way.

when i saw your doll draging her man by the hair, i just HAD to vote her XD
you and another one who is wearing a huge curly black wig are my favorites so far.

Here's an example of three dolls that perhaps ought to be disqualified. The one in the middle has the dreaded black flower, while the other two are wearing dresses that either came with a Quest or is out of the cupboard which I believe might be against the rules?

actualy(as far as i know), quest rewards, random pieces of items from the cupboards that do not make a whole set and the dreaded black flower(since it's from dollz story) are not forbirden items(i need mod confirmation, please)
the forbirden items for all contests are (wings and) the ones that did not cost us ANY DBs...
as far as i know... quoi

I thought that black flower was one of the gifts we now receive on one of our first 5 days when we open a new account, and not a store-purchasable item? If so, then yes, it would be a forbidden item.

Actually. The flower is (was) purchasable.
It comes from Dollz Story. The other gifts we received aren't.
