In my fashion show the theme is still "colors of brazil", should i wait before i registrate   to see if the theme changes to this one?

Since animals is also mentioned, maybe that included your eagle, and it maybe wasn't accepted because it should really say not allowed.....just something to think about because its hard to get all the French translation understood.

when it said "Allowed (yes, even some banned ...)", i understood this meant that even the items that are normaly not allowed will be allowed this time.
so, while i DID try NOT to choose items that would not normaly be allowed, i did not double-check it.

and maybe, by secondary characters, they may have meant those are allowed:

and maybe tahlenwing's case was not wearing an item form the demanded store or maybe the system not updating to demand items from playa instead of items from amethyst.
as far as i know, the system doesn't detect the forbirden items automaticaly, only the missing ones(and that's why the mod have to check by themselves if someone is wearing a forbirden item).
moreover, i've seen, on MANY fashion shows, people wearing forbirden items, so...

I agree! Translation can be confusing... and the results are occasionally comical

Whenever I get a translation that doesn't make sense, I hover over the English translated words which results in a "pop-up" that states: Click to edit and see alternate translations.  By doing this, I can sometimes clarify the parts that don't make sense... sometimes (~.^)

In this particular case, I actually first read the Fashion Show post on the Spanish site, which I have a better grasp of... so, when I saw our News, I automatically read it as april did:  Gifts from friends, secondary characters, décor background to hide the dollz, décor background floats around and the foot of the dollz, and animals are banned.

Here is the original Spanish "News" which may clarify things:

[Desfile de Modas] Tema libre!
Objetos prohibidos:

- Fondos para ocultar la doll y elaborar sobre ella.
- Usar segundos personajes (tu doll debe estar sola).
- Crear una escena alrededor de tu doll.
- Objetos alrededor de los pies de la doll.
- Atuendos ya elaborados (incluyendo los de los armarios y cofres mágicos).
- Regalos recibidos de tus amigos, gaceta y fiestas nacionales.
- Los animales.

The translation is:

[Fashion Show] Free Item!
Prohibited Items:

- Funds to hide the doll and elaborate on it.
  - Use second characters (your doll should be alone).
  - Create a scene around your doll.
  - Objects around the feet of the doll.
- Vests and processed (including closets and magic chests).
  - Gifts received from friends, gazette and national holidays.
  - The animals.

I took a second look at the French post and found myself curious about the use of the word "interdits" twice... by using the "Click to edit and see alternate translations" feature on the original French text:

"Interdits (ben oui, quand même, quelques interdits...)"

I came up with these suggested "alternates":

Allowed =
Banned
Prohibited
Forbidden
Not Allowed

Since "interdits" is clearly translated as "banned" within the parenthesis, it makes sense that it also means "banned" in its use as the first word... which is basically what the translator indicates.  All of the "alternate" translations are words that mean "banned"... there is no suggestion for another option meaning "allowed".

So, my interpretation of the theme was something like: Yes, even though it is a "free" theme, there are still some items banned.
