I just spent an hour on the phone with the producers, next week we'll be at the Festival de Cannes to present Doll Tales!" Whoa! The Festival de Cannes? I've never been there, it's almost like a dream coming true.

Josh travels with me, the other members of the team arrived in Cannes a few days ago. We have two first class seats, reserved for us by the production. The few times I took the plane, I was in economy class, but here you have great seats, it is really comfortable. At the take-off Josh grips my hand, he said nothing but I think he never took the plane before, he sure seems a little nervous. The more we approach Cannes, the more my heart is pounding. I hope that it will settle down once we'll arrive there, because at this rate I might faint before I even reach the red carpet.

For him, the questions are about his acting, the difficulty of interpreting a character that does not correspond to his own character, while we only have questions about our costumes, the fact that Elaine had to be away from her husband and her children for weeks or about the rumors of Josh's relationship with me. I'll be so glad to finally find my hotel room tonight.

Production has really not done things halfway. After a good night's sleep, I prepare psychologically for my second day. Tonight our film will be on screen for the first time before an audience and journalists. But first things first. Let's start with this amazing breakfast the room service brought up.

I have run a good hot bath in the big tub of my ultra-luxurious bathroom. Then I perfect my Tan on the private terrace of my room. Quiet reigns. I almost forget that hordes of paparazzi camp before all the entries and exits of the hotel hoping to see a celebrity or two.

Step 7: Climbing the stairs

In my pretty dress, I arrive at the Palais des Festivals. We all share the same limousine. There are Jessica, Elaine, Josh, Ari (the writer) and me. We have coordinated our arrival to make a nice group photo. Tomorrow night will be the closing ceremony. Our film is in competition. I am so nervous that I tremble. Josh grabs my hand to reassure me. There are plenty of fans behind barricades, photographers who al try to take the best picture. Fortunately, security is there to keep them away, we wouldn't have a chance against this crowd. I tried to hide my stress for the first pictures, my smile seems forced even if it is sincere. As we climb up the steps, my stress disapears, I know that this is only temporary, but I let myself go. We take some pictures together by two or three before entering and take our places in the room.

Step 8: The success!

Doll Tales has been a phenomenal success. Without winning the palme d'Or for the movie, we won together Elaine and me the award for best actress. It's really crazy, I still can't believe it. It's an honour to win this award with Elaine, that I greatly admire. With a palme d'Or, contracts begin to rain. An interesting proposal by Roberto del Moto here, a blockbuster of Michel Ray there. My choice is finally for the next Lynch. I'm flying to New-Llywood where filming begins in a few days.
