October 10 will be a sad day for me

As a lot know, my mother died last year (2018) on my birthday October 10th.  So the days leading up to that day have been pretty depressing.  I've spent a lot of time this weekend in tears.  To make matters worse, one of the diamonds in my wedding ring fell out without my knowledge, so that's something I'll have to have fixed in the future.  Winter is coming up and there's the worry of having propane for heat for our house.  At least I won't have to worry about finding snakes in my house or my mom's house.  There are those who play this game that know what I'm going through and there are those who don't. I do go to a therapist, and will be going on Oct 8th.  My husband is working out of town this week so I'll be alone on my birthday and the anniversary of my mom's death.  Except for the chickens.  And it's raining.  "When it rains, it pours."  In the year of 2018: March, my mother's cousin's husband died.  April, my aunt (my mom's brother's wife) died. My best friend lost both her parents.  May, my pet rooster Sammie died.  June... Willie, my pet hen and about 6 other chickens were killed.  Then my mom in October and in November.... a dear friend from this game lost her mother.   I have had so much sickness, and there's been anticipation of good things to come only to be knocked down with disappointment.  "This too shall pass."

I'm thankful for things in my life that I am not allowed to mention here.  But I can shout it to the MOUNTAIN TOPS elsewhere.

And you know... in doing my daily voting, I read your WIA's.  I've noticed at least a three ladies, whether older or younger than myself, who have lost their mother this past year.  I don't know if other DVers take the time to read people's WIA's.  I know your pain.

If you don't see me around a lot this week, you'll know why now.

That is a huge streak. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I hope you'll be able to get well someday... It can take several years to come to terms with the loss of a loved one. And even then, remembering it can be painfull. And you lost more than one loved being in a short time. I wish you can be granted the strenght to carry on. May you find peace of mind, and all those you love be at peace.

Thank you so much for your kind words.

Sierra <3
I'm just catching up on small amounts of 2 years of missed forum posts here.
I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your mother - grief and pain sink in so deep with the loss of a loved one. May the memories of her come softly to your heart <3

2018 was an awful year here, too. My oldest sister - my very best friend - passed away on August 1st after a relatively short battle with cancer.
