IMPORTANT TERMS:

Iris Messaging

Iris messages are video type messages that are used to communicate with others using a rainbow. The service is managed by Iris, Greek goddess of the rainbow.

To send a message, one must first find or create a rainbow and then throw a golden drachma or anything with a good price into it, saying or thinking very deeply:
"Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering."

The Great Prophecy (CAUTION: SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

The Great Prophecy was a prediction made by the Oracle of Delphi() that foretold the rise or fall of Olympus by a child of the Big Three(Zeus, Hades and Poseidon).

The First Great Prophecy is a prophecy given by the Oracle over seventy years ago. Around World War II, when the sons of Zeus (America), Poseidon (Great Britain and Soviet Union), and Hades (Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan) fought each other, the Oracle foretold of a future event that would end their affairs with mortal women for the next seventy years.

The prophecy is revealed in The Last Olympian:
A half-blood of the eldest gods
shall reach sixteen against all odds
And see the world in endless sleep
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap
A single choice shall end his days
Olympus to preserve or raze

Unraveling the Prophecy
1. Percy is a half-blood child of Poseidon, one of the eldest gods.
2. Percy turns 16 at the climax of the Battle of Manhattan, despite all his near death experiences.
3. Morpheus (the god of dreams/sleep) put every mortal in Manhattan to sleep.
4."The hero" does not refer to Percy, but to Luke, whose soul was reaped by Annabeth's knife, cursed because of Luke's broken promise to Annabeth.
5. Percy's choice was to give Luke the knife allowing Luke to kill himself and therefore killing Kronos ended his days.
6. Olympus was preserved because Percy chose to give Luke Annabeth's knife so that Luke could destroy Kronos by slicing his Achilles heel (under his arm).

Claiming a demigod:

Whenever gods have a child with a human, it was the gods choice to claim that child or not. This was a sign that the demigod child was a son or daughter of a certain god. At Camp Half-Blood, being claimed is considered a great honor and they use this knowledge to sort you into the cabin of your godly parent. Before the events of The Last Olympian, not every god had a cabin so a claimed child of a minor god would end up in the Hermes Cabin.

However other demigods were never claimed, even after arriving at camp. It is unknown why, but it is mentioned that even the gods loose track of all the children they have with mortals. It is all possibly that some demigods aren't claimed to keep them safe, as once a demigods learns who they are, they may begin to attract monsters that wouldn't have noticed them before. At Camp Half-Blood, any unclaimed demigod was also placed in Hermes' Cabin.

Many unclaimed demigods or demigods born from a minor god felt neglected by their parents and by Camp Half-Blood and turned away from the Olympians, eventually leading to the Second Olympian War. However, after the war was over, Percy made the gods promise to claim their children by the time they turn thirteen and build cabins for all the minor gods, in accordance with the wishes of Ethan Nakamura and Luke Castellan. From then on, Claiming became a common occurrence at Camp Half-Blood, with new campers normally being claimed at the campfire.

Known Claimings:

Poseidon's Claiming
When Poseidon claims one of his demigod or Cyclops children, a green trident hologram appears over their head. This happens to Percy in The Lightning Thief after he heals his Hellhound wounds when Annabeth, realizing his capabilities, orders him into the creek so that Chiron can view his powers. It later happens to Tyson in The Sea of Monsters after he enters Camp Half-Blood while he stands waiting in the dining pavilion of the Big House as he was being taunted by Tantalus, the substitute activities director for Chiron.

Aphrodite's Claiming
When Aphrodite claims her children they start glowing with a pink aura. After that they instantly look great (beautiful). The children of Aphrodite refer to this as Aphrodite's Blessing, which goes on for a while and can sometimes even go back when Aphrodite wills it to, but may fade after a while. This happened to Piper while she was at the camp's bonfire in The Lost Hero.

Hephaestus' Claiming
When Hephaestus claims his demigod children, a red fiery hammer appears over their head. This happened to Leo instantly after he arrived at camp in The Lost Hero.

Camp Half-blood

Camp Half-Blood is a Greek demigod training facility located on the Long Island Sound, directed by Dionysus, who the campers call "Mr. D," and Chiron, a Centaur who is the activities coordinator. It is also the Greek counterpart of Camp Jupiter, a Roman camp in San Francisco, California.

Chiron, the camp's activities director
The camp has magical borders, which are enforced by the Golden Fleece, found by the satyr Grover, the Cyclops Tyson, and demigods Percy Jackson, Clarisse La Rue, and Annabeth Chase. Stolen from Polyphemus' island, it was placed on Thalia's pine tree, ensuring that no monsters could get into camp. The Fleece stays on the tree, guarded by the dragon Peleus, it's magical powers protecting the camp.
The camp is described as being the only safe place for half-bloods, although in the Heroes of Olympus series it is revealed that there is a similar camp for Roman demigods – Camp Jupiter, located in San Francisco.

The half-bloods live in cabin (one for each Olympian; later, many more cabins were added later for minor gods and goddesses on after Percy's request in The Last Olympian), and eat at the dining pavilion. There is also an archery field, a sword fighting arena, a climbing wall with lava for training, an amphitheater, stables, an armory, and the Big House.

The camp's cover name is Delphi Strawberry Service, a reference to the name of the Oracle of Delphi.

Greek Gods and Goddesses:

Zeus

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091129212961/olympians/images/thumb/4/4c/Zeus.jpg/250px-Zeus.jpg

---> He is the Greek god of honor, justice, lightning, and the skies. He is the lord of Olympus and the son of the Titans, Kronos and Rhea. His Roman counterpart is Jupiter.

Personality:

Zeus, as the King of the Gods, is very proud and commanding and has a very high amount of self-respect. He demands respect and precedence from mortals and the other gods, and was angered when Percy chose to bow to his father Poseidon before Zeus himself.

Although he is a capable leader and the enforcer of justice and law, Zeus does not provide the best moral example. He is at times extremely paranoid, as well as self-centered and easily insulted.  If he thinks someone is plotting against him or has insulted him, he can be very unforgiving. At times he allows his negative traits to override his better judgement. His decisions are not always based on justice, but rather his personal whims and what he sees as best for himself, rather than the greater good.

He also has very strong distrust for Poseidon because he had once tried overthrowing Zeus from his throne. Zeus instantly blames Poseidon despite having no evidence and all facts pointing to the contrary. He had even threatened civil war.

He apparently has a flair for dramatic exits and is a quite a big show-off, which Poseidon pointed out to Percy, saying "he would have done well as the god of theater."

Despite his number of flaws, Zeus does have a decent side. Zeus cares for his children such as his daughter, Thalia, and his son, Jason.

Although Zeus is very short tempered and vengeful, he's also capable of sympathy for those that have suffered the same injustices that he and the other gods suffered in their lives.

Abilities:

Aerokinesis:He has absolute control over air.

He can manipulate clouds and any other air structures.
He can generate wind.
He can generate incredibly powerful hurricanes and tornadoes.
He can manipulate air currents and fly.

Air waves: according to Hephaestus, Zeus's domain also includes the air waves, as he was able to detect Hephaestus's pirate radio.

Atmokinesis: He has control over the weather.

Electrokinesis: He has absolute control over both static and celestial electricity.

He is immune to lightning.
He can generate tremendous bolts of lightning.
He can send static shock through the bodies of others on contact.

Master Bolt: His most powerful weapon, the Master Bolt, is incredibly powerful, easily making a hydrogen bomb look like a firecracker.

Poseidon

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NH4YXaA7YGI/UKbcMzSCDdI/AAAAAAAADMo/eg58KBQctkI/s1600/Percy_jackson_poster10.jpg

---> He is the Greek god of destruction, earthquakes, horses, hurricanes, oceans, seas, storms, and other water bodies. He is the son of the Titans, Kronos and Rhea, as well as one of the Big Three. His Roman counterpart is Neptune.
Rivalry with Athena:

For many aeons, Athena and Poseidon have had a rivalry between them, which all started when they competed for being the patron of the city of Athens, (called Attica at that time). The leader of the city told the two gods to make a gift for the newly constructed city. Poseidon created a salt-water spring, while Athena gave them the olive tree. Seeing that the olive tree was much better than a salt-water spring, the leader of the newly constructed city named it after Athena and made Athena a temple known as the Parthenon. Athena was also made the patron of the city thus making Poseidon very angry.

Also, Athena once caught Poseidon with his girlfriend, Medusa, (who was once a beautiful maiden) together in her temple. Furious at Poseidon and Medusa, she turned Medusa and her sisters into the "Three Gorgons". They had snakes for hair and Medusa could turn anyone into stone if they looked into her eyes, which no one could resist. Medusa's sisters were also transformed because they helped Medusa get into the temple.

However, there was one time when the two were made to work together, since the invention of the chariot and horses needed teamwork. So, Athena and Poseidon worked together to make that invention.

Personality:

Poseidon, even though he shares many characteristics with Zeus including pride, stubbornness, and being temperamental, is benevolent. However, he appears to have matured over the centuries to a point where these attributes do not dominate him to the same extent they do Zeus, making him much more reasonable (which is strange because in the myths Poseidon was considered the moodiest of the gods).

Poseidon loves and cares for his children and watches over them more than most of the other gods, actively giving them advice, and aiding them indirectly, though this might be since he only has one son. Poseidon has a more caring and overall human personality.

Poseidon also has a very particular sense of humor, sometimes making it hard to tell if he is joking or not. After Percy saves Mount Olympus, he tells him he can now claim all his other children and gives Percy a wink as if he's joking. He also has a habit of toying with his younger brother. As Zeus is begrudgingly thanking his brother for his help in defeating Typhon, Poseidon would interrupt with phrases like "I'm sorry brother. What was that?" and correcting him when Zeus says it would have been "difficult" instead of "impossible" to defeat Typhon. It has also been shown that he is very protective as seen in The Last Olympian when Percy in attempting to convince him to help Olympus, he states that he must protect his home (the sea), but Percy then reminds him that Olympus is his true home.

Due to caring dearly for his children, according to Polybotes; Poseidon's greatest weaknesses is his demigod son, Percy Jackson, as if Percy is harmed the giants believe that Poseidon will weaken.

Abilities:

Hydrokinesis: Poseidon has absolute control over water like Percy, only to a much greater extent.

He can withstand any amount of water pressure.
He can generate water from his body.
He can use sea waves as a form of transport.

Geokinesis: Poseidon has the ability to cause earthquakes, giving him the nickname "the Earthshaker."

Aerokinesis: Poseidon controls the weather over the seas. He can create thunderstorms and even hurricanes. However, he can also create clear skies for sailors if he wants. As god of the seas, it is unknown how far this power may extend over land.

Athena

http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy26/Twilight4949/Decorated%20images/Athena-movie-poster-percy-jackson-and-the-olympians-10221264-588-776-1.jpg

---> She is the Greek goddess of wisdom, handicrafts, useful arts, and battle strategy. She is the daughter of Zeus and Metis, and her symbols include the owl, Aegis, the olive tree, and the snake. Her Roman counterpart is Minerva.

Rivalry with Arachne:

A long time ago, the mortal Arachne challenged Athena to see who could make the best tapestry. Athena then disguised as an old woman tried to warn Arachne, but she said if she lost she would accept any punishment. Athena enraged took off her disguise, she then accepted the challenge, as she invented weaving, and they each made a tapestry. Athena's was of the gods together in glory and joy. Arachne's showed the gods making fools of themselves. Athena was so angry by this deliberate insult to the gods, she destroyed the tapestry in rage and was declared the winner.
Arachne was filled with guilt, and hung herself. Athena after seeing this felt responsible for her death and decided to do her a favor. She turned Arachne into a spider so that her and all her children would be expert weavers forever.

However, ever since then, Athena's children have had a deep fear of spiders. They are very paranoid that every spider they see is out to get them and avenge Arachne.

In other versions of the story, Athena transformed Arachne into a spider directly after the contest as part of Arachne's punishment. Because of this, it is understandable that Athena's children would think that all spiders are out for revenge against them, and through them, their mother.

Rivalry with Poseidon:

Check the Poseidon profile

Personality:

Athena can be very sympathetic. She is also a disciplined, quick thinking, and wise woman. She is very brilliant and always takes precautions before acting.

Percy notes in The Titan's Curse that Athena might be the worst enemy someone could make as she would never give up or make a rash mistake simply because she hated you.

She loves all of her demigod children, and seems to be a caring mother. She is the only known god who claims her children at birth. She gave her daughter Annabeth the gift of a cap that turns the wearer invisible. In one of Percy's dreams in The Battle of the Labyrinth, she is shown to have blessed both Daedelus and his young nephew Perdix. She later punishes Daedelus for killing Perdix by branding him with a partridge (the mark of a murderer).

Athena is also usually kind to other demigods. She often aids heroes on their quests, even helping Percy at one point while he was in the Hoover Dam.

Athena is somewhat cold and calculating at times. She voted against letting Percy live in The Titan's Curse, because she didn't want to risk him staying alive.

Athena is also known for never giving up, and crossing her is a mistake. When Paris picked Aphrodite as the most beautiful goddess instead of her, Athena took the side of the Greeks in the Trojan War and used every power within her to bring him down.

In the book, Athena is seen as a strict and proud goddess. However being the goddess of strategy, she knew that a war between the gods was not the answer and would only lead to unneeded sacrifice.

Abilities:

As a daughter of Zeus, Athena is a very powerful goddess:

Prowess in Battle: Athena is a great warrior, and a master of both armed and hand-to-hand combat, but frequently uses her wisdom to overcome her opponents instead of sheer force. During the first Gigantomachy, she was able to defeat the fire-breathing Enceladus (the most cunning Giant) with the help of Hercules.

Divine Wisdom: Athena is very wise, intelligent, and knowledgeable, constantly coming up with brilliant strategies. She was also able to see that Typhon was only a decoy in Kronos' plan to defeat the gods. However, she tends to measure the odds without taking her own or others feelings into account, leading to her voting to destroy Percy in The Titan's Curse (but she was out voted). Due to her wisdom, she was the one Zeus trusted to check on the imprisoned Titans in Tartarus.

Shapeshifting: Athena can transform into an owl. It is unknown if she can turn into other animals also. She also appeared as a park ranger at the Hoover Dam in The Titan's Cursee]].

Strategist: She is a skilled tactician (greater than Ares), since unlike him, Athena only uses violence as a last resort.

Dinoysis

http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/31900000/Bacchus-the-heroes-of-olympus-31920760-850-1270.jpg

--->He is the Greek god of grape-harvest, wine, ritual madness, parties, and ecstasy as well as theater. He is also known as Mr. D, the camp director of Camp Half-Blood. He was placed as the director by his father Zeus as punishment for chasing after an off-limits nymph. His Roman counterpart is Bacchus.

Personality:

At first glance, Dionysus seems to be rather displeasing. He enjoys calling people by incorrect names, especially Percy Jackson, whom he often calls "Peter Johnson" and "Perry Johanssen" (sometimes he says his real name by accident). He often does this to make the campers think that he cares so little for them, that he will make no effort to remember their names. He even refuses to acknowledge when he calls them by their correct names. This is also because he hates almost all heroes.

Dionysus doesn't like to be known as 'the wine dude". The first time is when Nico call him that after the orientation video. Dionysus is not pleased but tones down his anger when Nico starts complimenting him in his excitement.

However, despite the impression he tries to give, deep down, Dionysus cares about his campers quite a bit.

Dionysus is also willing to send help using his powers when a camper is in danger and desperately needs help. For example, in The Titan's Curse, when the manticore was attacking Percy Jackson, Thalia, and their friends, he used grape vines to kill the manticore, Dr. Thorn, and caused several to descend into madness, saving Percy's life.

Abilities:

Prowess in Battle: Dionysus is known to have fought bravely in the first Gigantomachy.

Chlorokinesis: He can grow, control, and summon plants, but he prefers grape and strawberry vines.
He can bind and even suffocate his enemies with grape vines, shown when he killed Dr. Thorn and when he trapped Percy and Blackjack.

Madness: Dionysus is able to cause and cure it.
He can induce madness, shown when he drove Dr. Thorn's minions insane.
He can cure madness, shown when he cured Chris Rodriguez.

Alcokinesis: Dionysus can manipulate alcohol. However, in the series he is not allowed to partake in alcohol and has not shown using this ability.
He can transform people and objects into anything wine related, as he threatened to do with Percy and Blackjack in The Titan's Curse.
He can turn people into animals. This happened when he was kidnapped by pirates by mistake and he turned them into dolphins.
He can conjure any kind of drinks, but generally only create cans of diet coke due to his prohibition to drink any kind of alcoholic beverage.

Partying: He can appear anywhere a party is held.

Menead Curse: despite the fact that he despises the Meneads, he will curse anybody who either hurts or kills a single one of them.

Artemis

http://images.wikia.com/olympians/images/archive/9/96/20100906183439!Artemis.jpg

--->  She is the Greek goddess of the hunt, the Moon, chastity, animals, and the wilderness. She and her twin brother Apollo are known as the "Twin Archers." Artemis' handmaidens are chaste maidens who have turned their back from the company of men and have taken a pledge, which if Artemis accepts, to be part of the Hunters of Artemis, and will become immortal and serve her for eternity, especially during a hunt. Her Roman counterpart is Diana.

Appearance:

She can appear as whatever she likes, but chooses to be the average age of her Hunters, which is around twelve, though in the film she is seen as a full grown woman.

She has auburn colored hair and eyes as silvery yellow as the moon, and is incredibly beautiful. Percy describes her face as breathtakingly beautiful. Her cabin is number eight at Camp Half-Blood, which is mostly noted for its silver color and silver aura that shines during the night when the moon rises.

Artemis has two sides of her, the fierce and lively goddess of the Hunt and the mysterious and serene goddess of the Moon. In her two sides, she is mostly seen as the the Goddess of Hunt, where she wears a short tunic with her hair into a ponytail, holding a bow and quiver and mostly with her golden stag. When she is the Goddess of the Moon, she wears a long gossamer dress and has her hair held up.

Personality:

Artemis possesses a deep caring for maidens, especially for maidens whom she presides over.

Unlike her twin, she is less "easy-going" and more focused with a much greater understanding of mortals than most of the gods.

Although she is reasonable, Artemis holds a general dislike of men, although acknowledging and respecting those who prove themselves. Artemis is shown to be an independent goddess who prefers the company of her hunters to even that of other gods. She loves hunting and is associated with the moon, which Apollo mentioned happened during the Roman era when the former goddess of the moon faded.
Although less easy-going than her brother, and despite her general disapproval of boys, she is one of the more sympathetic of the Olympians, and weighs individuals by their acts and choices, as opposed to their potential.

Abilities:

Prowess in Battle: Artemis is shown to be formidable in battle, due to her amazing agility and expertise with fighting with a bow and arrows, as well as long hunting knives. She is shown to be able to hold her own against very strong opponents, even the Titan General Atlas. Due to her skill in battle, she was trusted to kill any powerful monsters Kronos would try to recruit in The Titan's Curse.
She excels at fighting with a bow and arrows, and long hunting knives.

Enhanced Hunting: Artemis has the same advanced hunting powers her Hunters have, but to a much greater extent.
She has the ability to control animals associated with hunting, such as wolves and hawks.
She has enhanced speed, aim, and precision, since she was able to split Dr. Thorn's spikes in-midair.
She may have a dynamic camoflage ability.
She can replenish the animals she kills.
She can transform ordinary things into things associated with hunting.
She can help heroes more directly since wild animals and monsters are in her domain.
She can communicate with wild animals
She can see clearly in the night.

Creating Constellations: Artemis can transform people into constellations once they have passed, such as Zoë Nightshade.

Demeter

http://images.wikia.com/olympians/images/1/10/20110309054550!Demeter_in_movie.JPG

--->She is the Olympian Greek goddess of the harvest and agriculture, who presided over grains, the fertility of the earth, the seasons, and the harvest. Demeter's Roman counterpart is Ceres.

Appearance:

Demeter has long, wavy black(sometimes blonde) hair with large brown eyes. She wears a wheat golden dress and has dried grass braided in her hair. According to Percy, she is an older and sterner version of Persephone. In her youth she is said to have been very beautiful.

Personality:

Demeter is somewhat fussy and very overprotective, but seems to be absent-minded, which goes far into explaining how Persephone could have been kidnapped by Hades. A stereotypical mother in-law, Demeter takes every opportunity to chastise and criticize Hades' work and marriage to her daughter. Possessing a caring nature and an obsession for cereal, Demeter insists upon advising healthy eating and hard work as every mother would, (As shown when she talks to Nico.)

Abilities:

Chlorokinesis: Demeter can control, create, and manipulate plants and crops. She can also grant fertility to the earth, allowing plants to grow where they could not grow before. Also, she aids plants in growing simply by being near them.

Seasons: Demeter can control the seasons by transforming winter into spring.
Demeter can transform things into plants. She can turn multiple things at once as shown in the Battle of Manhattan when she transforms many Dracaenae into barley.

Famous quotes:

“I warned you, daughter. This scoundrel Hades is no good. You could've married the god of doctors or the god of lawyers, but noooo. You had to eat the pomegranate.”

Aphrodite

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120829022954/olympians/images/thumb/5/5d/9aphrodite.jpg/250px-9aphrodite.jpg

Appearance

“She was elegant without trying, fashionable without effort, stunning without makeup.”               –-Piper complimenting Aphrodite, The Lost Hero

Aphrodite is the personification of beauty, and appears to others as their personal epitome of physical attraction which is why her true appearance is unknown. Aphrodite will take very good care of how she looks to others and can see the tiniest flaw, as seen in The Titan's Curse when she asked Percy to hold her mirror and fixed some flaw he couldn't see. However, when talking to Percy she wore a red dress and had her hair in a cascade of ringlets, while wearing makeup. Percy said that when she smiled, she looked like Annabeth and a TV actress he had a crush on in fifth grade.

When Piper saw her in Medea's department store during a dream, she is seen very differently. Aphrodite had shoulder length hair, a graceful neck, and a great figure. She was also wearing jeans and a snowy white top, while looking at clothes on the 50% off rack. Her eye and hair color change as Piper looked at them, as she says that Aphrodite tried to match Piper's view of beautiful. The biggest change is that when visiting Piper, Aphrodite had no makeup on. Aphrodite's more simple appearance while visiting Piper may be a result of Piper herself not liking to use makeup or make herself look overly girly, resulting in Aphrodite herself using no makeup and a simple outfit.

Personality

Aphrodite is both temperamental and vain. In addition, she is also crafty, flirtatious, and seductive. Despite these qualities, she is both very loving and passionate, having a faith in love that is absolute and true. Aphrodite is very benevolent and gentle to those she favors and deeply cares for her children as well as their fathers. Presiding over the most powerful of human feelings, she has great insight into mortal emotions as well as mortal nature by extension. It is nearly impossible to disagree with her, she is also unfaithful to Hephaestus with all of her affairs.

Abilities
“I'd met Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, in person, and her powers had scared me worse than Ares.”
–Percy Jackson in The Titan's Curse
Aphrodite possesses the standard powers of a goddess with personal abilities such as:

Infallible visual acuity

Omnipotent allure
Speaks and understands French as it is the language of love

Charmspeak:
Her voice has a mesmerizing effect, capable of influencing the emotions of others or of placing them in her thrall

Amokinesis:
As goddess of love and beauty she has the mystical ability to arouse love and passion in others. She also possesses the ability to entrance any mortal or god she desires with control over love, lust, beauty and other things related to them
Personification of Desire: Aphrodite as the goddess of Love and Beauty is the personification of all desire and fulfillment, She has absolute power over her realm. S

She has power over craving of the unattainable. The force of physical appetite or emotional need. Strong envious desire. In contrast she is also lords over satisfaction, extending to the attainment of ones desire.

Famous Quotes:

“Not knowing is half the fun," Aphrodite said, "Exquisitely painful isn't it? Not being sure who you love and who loves you? Oh, you kids! It's so cute I'm going to cry!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I'm so glad you're here," Aphrodite said. "War is coming. Bloodshed is inevitable. So there's really only one thing to do."
"Uh... and that is?" Annabeth ventured.
"Why, have tea and chat, obviously”

Important Characters

Percy Jackson

http://www.deviantart.com/download/328965943/percy_jackson_by_aireenscolor-d5fuvqv.jpg

[b]---> Perseus "Percy" Jackson is a Greek demigod son of Poseidon, god of the sea and Sally Jackson. He is the counselor of Poseidon's Cabin, Cabin #3.

Personality:
“He's actually pretty intelligent, but he acts so dumb sometimes. I wonder if he does it just to annoy me. The guy has a lot going for him. He's courageous, he's got a sense of humor.”
–Annabeth Chase, during her The Demigod Files interview

Percy is brave, spirited, natural leader, and is willing to risk his life to save friends, family, strangers, and sometimes even enemies.

He has a sarcastic and smart sense of humor, a laid-back demeanor, and has earned the respect of all the Olympians, including Artemis (who strictly dislikes men), Dionysus (who hates most heroes), and Hades (who generally hates people).

Percy remains true and never goes back on his word. However, he is definitely not perfect. Percy is somewhat short-tempered, and thus has trouble controlling his anger (such as when he sees bullying) and tends to do or blurt out things before thinking, no matter the consequences, causing him to get into a lot of trouble. He also feels responsible for everyone and anything which goes wrong.

Many people tell him he is brave such as friends, family, strangers, and even gods and goddesses. He also states that he has the same "brooding" look as his father, that always branded him a rebel, and that his mom also has a rebellious streak just like him. Annabeth Chase mentions that he is technically smart but seems to act dumb; and is obtuse, meaning he doesn't always see the obvious even when it is right in front of him, such as people's feelings and what they are trying to see indirectly.

He dislikes being manipulated or forced to obey.

Percy also has small feelings for Annabeth Chase at the beginning of the series and these feelings became romantic over the course of the series, but he finally confirms it in the The Last Olympian.

Although Percy is a leader at Camp Half-Blood, he is considered a troublemaker in school, with a track record of expulsions, like most demigods. His Dyslexia makes learning and reading difficult, and his ADHD makes it hard for him to be attentive or to sit still in class. He has never been one of the "cool" kids in class because he hangs out with supposedly "un-cool" people such as Tyson or Grover. Possibly because of his bad history in school, Percy feels a strong level of affection and feeling he belongs at Camp Half-Blood.

Annabeth Chase

http://www.deviantart.com/download/338332537/annabeth_chase_by_anav27-d5lfn21.jpg

[b]---> Annabeth Chase is one of the main protagonists in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus series. She is a Greek demigod daughter of Athena and Frederick Chase and is currently the girlfriend of Percy Jackson. She is also the head counselor of Athena's Cabin and the architect of Mount Olympus.

Personality:

“She looked just the way she had when she'd faced the Sphinx - like she wasn't going to accept an easy answer, even if it got her in serious trouble.”
–Percy Jackson, thinking about Annabeth's personality in The Battle of the Labyrinth.
Annabeth loves architecture, and spends her free time designing new buildings and visiting national monuments. Her fatal flaw is hubris, otherwise known as excessive pride: she thinks she can do anything and do it well, even better than the gods.

Annabeth can be very possessive of the people she loves. For example, she is very anxious of losing Percy to another girl like Rachel or Calypso.

Annabeth is very harsh and judgmental during first meetings, but after winning her approval she is very loyal. She is very strong-minded and equally stubborn. Annabeth is an intellectual genius, as well as clever and witty. She's also analytical, strategic, and is very wise.

Since Percy left her for months, Annabeth has become reckless when a situation concerns him and she has also developed a fear of losing him to death or being separated from him for all time.

Chiron

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091129024513/olympians/images/thumb/2/22/Chiron.jpg/250px-Chiron.jpg

---> He is the activities director at Camp Half-Blood. He is a centaur and is  the son of Kronos. Chiron is also known as Mr. Brunner.

Personality

As the Director of Camp Half-Blood, Chiron takes great pride in his students and acts as a father figure to those that have problems with their own family (like Annabeth). He will also go out of his way or put himself in danger to protect the campers even if he knows that he may not be able to help them.
Chiron also has deep faith in Percy, even before Percy knew he was a demigod. During his time as Percy's teacher, he would constantly push Percy to excel in his studies and pushed him to not only pass the class, but do so with a high grade. Even though Percy didn't manage to pass with an A, he still managed to get a decent grade. Chiron later tells Jason that he was proud of the person that Percy had become.

While he is calm and patient he occasionally becomes angry, during which Percy notes that his tone becomes "steely calm."

Grover Underwood

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101204141750/olympians/images/thumb/c/c1/Grover_Underwood.jpg/250px-Grover_Underwood.jpg

Grover Underwood is a satyr and the Lord of the Wild. He's the satyr who found the demigods Thalia Grace, Nico and Bianca di Angelo, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Luke Castellan.

Personality:

“Grover, you're the bravest satyr I ever knew.”
–Luke Castellan, to Grover in The Last Olympian

Grover is usually cheerful and upbeat, yet he chews on furniture when he is nervous. He cries when he is upset, which makes him an easy target for bullies. He can often be philosophical.

He sometimes mopes around a bit though. He has an obsession with coffee (due to feeling the presence of Pan in New Mexico while drinking it), tin cans, and enchiladas. He believes that cheese enchiladas are better than chicken ones. This may be due to the fact he is a vegetarian.

His girlfriend is Juniper, a wood nymph. They deeply care for one another. It is also revealed in The Last Olympian that he has leporiphobia, (which Thalia calls his "bunny phobia").

It is mentioned in The Lightning Thief that two of the only songs he knows how to play on his reed pipes are "So Yesterday" by Hilary Duff and Mozart's 12 symphony.

In the beginning of the series, his reed pipe music is so bad it makes the strawberry plants try to strangle people, but by the end of the series, he can play multiple tunes (which came in handy multiple times). It is said in The Demigod Files that his favorite song to play is Muskrat Love.

Irrational Fears

Grover is afraid of many things. He is most terrified of:
    - Underground places (which smell of death and monsters)
    - Cyclopes (Which is why he initially did not get along well with Tyson.)

Tyson

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090513235251/olympians/images/thumb/d/da/Tyson.jpg/250px-Tyson.jpg

---> Tyson is a Cyclops, a son of Poseidon, and Percy Jackson's half brother. He is the current general of the Cyclopes army.

Personality:

At his introduction, Tyson is a young, childish Cyclops who is known for crying. He cares a great deal about his friends and is willing to risk his life for them if necessary. He shows a strong love for pegasi and hippocampi, though the former are nervous around him and is very protective of Annabeth in particular. Tyson is smarter than he appears and can also be clumsy at times.

In The Battle of the Labyrinth, Tyson is seen to mature though he still retains his innocence as can be seen when he first meets Briares. It is also revealed that Tyson has a love of peanut butter.

Tyson acts a little childlike, but he can figure things out very quickly. He is a little clumsy and at first Percy was afraid to bring him on a quest in The Sea of Monsters because of this. He is also not sure of himself. Sometimes he forgets his own strength . Also, he is terrified of Grover, a satyr who is also scared of him, because the "itchy goat fur" makes him sneeze, but as he got over it to maintain their friendship it is possible that he has gotten over his fear of Satyrs completely.

Nico Di Angelo

http://images.wikia.com/olympians/images/f/f9/Nico_di_Angelo.png

---> Nico di Angelo is a Greek demigod son of Hades and mortal Maria di Angelo. He is also the younger brother of the late Bianca di Angelo and the half brother of Hazel Levesque. He is known in the Underworld as the "Ghost King" after taking the title from King Minos.

Personality:
In The Titan's Curse, Nico is ten years old and enjoys playing with his Mythomagic cards that none of the others truly seem to understand. He is totally clueless and very inquisitive: he is curious and questioning and likes Percy a lot like a big brother, and begins annoying Percy with his ceaseless questions, especially when he asks if Annabeth Chase was his girlfriend, which makes Percy consider "stuffing him in a meat flavored sack and throwing him to the wolves."

He feels abandoned when his sister Bianca, who practically acts as his parent, becomes a Hunter of Artemis. When she goes on a quest, Nico makes Percy promise to protect her. After her death, he develops a long-lasting grudge toward Percy for letting her die. Once he realizes that he is a son of Hades, he casts away his childhood interests and runs off on his own.

In The Battle of the Labyrinth, he becomes grim and solitary and definitely a more powerful character, saying that "only the dead respect me...and only out of fear." His attitude change may have happened partially because of Bianca's death and partially because of Minos' manipulations. He believes that he will never be accepted by the living and does not belong at Camp Half-Blood in comparison of his father feeling out of place on Olympus. He is also shown to be somewhat vengeful, as he wanted revenge for Bianca's death, something he blamed Percy for. However, Nico forgives Percy after Bianca's ghost tells him that it wasn't his fault that she died. He also accepts the small figurine of Hades that Bianca wanted him to have.

He is shown to be very naive and gullible.

In The Last Olympian, he is quite sincere in wanting to help Percy with the prophecy and the war. However, Nico can be somewhat untrustworthy at times. This is shown when he tricked Percy into coming to the Underworld so he could gain answers about his mother, but Nico wasn't planning on Percy becoming imprisoned.

By standing up to both Kronos and Hades, he is shown to be that he is very brave and bold. He likes being on his own, not really wanting help from anyone. He keeps to himself a lot and is pretty secretive, which causes plenty of problems throughout the series.

“Holding grudges has always been the fatal flaw of children of Hades.”
–Bianca to Nico, in The Battle of the Labyrinth
Nico di Angelo's fatal flaw is holding grudges, as Bianca's ghost tells him. In his case, it can lead to not wanting help or not asking to be saved in deadly situations because he doesn't like someone.

Pan

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120613152810/olympians/images/thumb/e/e1/Pan_the_god.jpg/180px-Pan_the_god.jpg

--> Pan (in Ancient Greek: Παν) was the god of the Wild, hunting (partially), rustic music and folk music.

During the quest in, Grover and Tyson split away from the group because Grover senses Pan. Later Percy , Annabeth, Rachel, and Nico find them at a riverbank in the labyrinth. The group follows the river to a cave in the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, where they find Pan lying on a bed. He fades in and out as he dies. He is surrounded by extinct animals that fade into dust as he dies. Pan tells Grover that he should have died two thousand years ago, but the satyrs prevented his passing. He says that it's his time to go and for Grover to carry on his wisdom to the world.

Cabins

The Cabins at Camp Half-Blood each represent one of the Greek gods and goddesses. Demigods attending the camp stay in the respective cabins patronized by their immortal parents.

Initially, only twelve cabins were built for the children of the Olympians. Those of other minor gods or unclaimed children of the twelve would reside with the children of Hermes in Cabin Eleven. After the Second Olympian War, Percy Jackson requested that Hades and the minor gods be given their own cabins as well. Now there are twenty cabins at Camp Half-Blood.

Hermes' cabin had an acceptance policy stating that any undetermined camper can stay inside. Therefore, Half-bloods whose immortal parent had not claimed them or whose immortal parent is a minor god would stay in the Hermes cabin. Percy briefly stayed in the Hermes cabin.

After the minor cabins were built, it is assumed that the policy then only covered the unclaimed. All new campers stay in the Hermes cabin until they are claimed by their immortal parent.
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130403120214/olympians/images/thumb/3/37/Camp-Half-Blood.jpg/340px-Camp-Half-Blood.jpg

Cabin One: Zeus

Zeus' Cabin (#1) is described as a marble building looking like a mausoleum, with heavy columns. The big bronze double doors are polished in such a way to provide a 'holographic' effect of lightning bolts passing across. It also thunders all the time.
Inside: the dome-shaped ceiling is decorated with moving mosaics of a cloudy sky and thunder bolts. A statue of Zeus in traditional Greek clothes is centered in the room. It has alcoves with golden eagle statues.

Cabin Two: Hera

Hera's Cabin (#2) is a marble, formal-looking building, graceful with slim columns garlanded with pomegranates and flowers. It is done in a similar way to her husband, Zeus' cabin.
Inside: like a temple with a large statue of Hera in the center. There is no furniture inside due to no one will ever stay in that cabin and is honorary (Hera is the goddess of marriage and "doesn't run around having affairs with mortals. That is her husband's job.").

Cabin Three: Poesidon

Poseidon's Cabin (#3) is a long, low building with windows facing the ocean, and looking like it's made of rough sea stone, with pieces of coral at the end of the cabin and a seashell and a trident over the door. Percy described its smell to be same as the cabin at Montauk where his mother and father met. Percy also states that there is always a sea breeze blowing through it.
Inside: walls made of abalone with rows of neat bunks, and a salt water fountain given to Percy (until he cut it in half). There is also a sort of mobile of hippocampi or "fish-ponies" as Tyson calls them.

Cabin Four: Demeter

Demeter's Cabin (#4) is covered in flowers and tomato plants grow on the walls and doorway. It has wild flowers and roses growing on a porch. It has a real grass roof. Its color is a kind of a light brown.

Cabin Five: Ares

Ares' Cabin (#5) is badly painted red and has a large boar's head over the door with barbed wire on the roof. Annabeth mentioned it did have land mines, but she might have been joking. Rock music is constantly blaring from it.

Cabin Six: Athena

Athena's Cabin (#6) is a gray building with plain white curtains and a design of an owl over the door.
Inside: most of the space is devoted to maps, desks and various projects, with all the bunks shoved together against one wall, "as if sleep was not important". Percy described it as a "braniac's workshop."

Cabin Seven: Apollo

Apollo's Cabin (#7) seems to be made of solid gold and made to glow during the daytime - it's hard to tell if the gold is reflecting light or generating it.

Cabin Eight: Artemis

Artemis' Cabin (#8) is an all silver building with silver curtains, similar to the outfit of the Hunters. It also glows silver during night time as if reflecting the moon, but looks like a normal cabin in the day. It is decorated with paintings and carvings of wild animals, mostly the stag. Because Artemis is a virgin goddess, she doesn't have children of her own and the cabin is honorary; however it is used by the Hunters when they visit camp.

Cabin Nine: Hephaestus

Hephaestus' Cabin (#9) looks like a small factory, with brick walls and smokestacks like the forges and lots of gears around the entrance.
Inside: Leo describes the folded steel bunks against the walls to be like "high-tech Murphy beds". Each bed has a digital control panel, blinking LED lights, glowing gems, and interlocking gears. It has shiny metal walls and metal slated doors. It is noted for being unclean and messy , filled with junk most of the time. A fire pole comes down from the second floor. A circular staircase leads down into some kind of basement. The walls are lined with every kind of power tool imaginable, and a huge assortment of weaponry. A workbench overflows with scrap metal, screws, bolts, washers, nails, rivets, and a million other machine parts. There is also a tunnel underneath. It is associated with Bunker Nine. The most famous demigod son of Hephaestus was Archimedes.

Cabin Ten: Aphrodite

Aphrodite's Cabin (#10) is a wooden cabin with a painted blue roof, pillars, checkerboard deck with steps and gray walls. It also smells heavily of designer perfume. Piper describes it as "a giant Barbie house where supermodels go to die."
Inside: It is described as a life-size dollhouse with pink walls and white window trim. The lace curtains are pastel blue and green which matched the sheets and feather comforters on all the beds. The guys had one row of bunks separated by a curtain, but their section of the cabin was just as neat and orderly as the girls'. The cabin is always clean except for under the beds, which had chocolate wrappers, love notes, and other things under them. Every camper had a wooden camp chest at the foot of their bunk with their name painted on it. The only other bit of individualism was how the campers had decorated their private bunk spaces. Each had slightly different pictures tacked up of whatever celebrities they thought were hot. A few had personal photos, too, but most were actors or singers.

Dining Pavilion

The Dining Pavilion is an area of Camp Half-Blood where the Demigods, satyrs, and camp directors eat their meals. The pavilion is framed in Greek columns on a hill that overlooks the sea. There are no walls or roof that cover the mess hall. Torches blaze from the columns and a central fire burning inside a bronze brazier the size of a bathtub. Each table has a white cloth with purple trim.

The pavilion's goblets are enchanted, and, on voice command, will be filled with whatever drink you desire (except Mr. D who is forced to drink Diet Coke). Another quality of the goblets is that they never empty. The types of food in the Pavilion include BBQ, grapes, apples, strawberries, cheese, and fresh bread, that the wood nymphs serve. As stated in The Lightning Thief, when they go to Aunty Em's, the food at Camp Half-Blood is healthy.

The tables in the Pavilion are arranged so that there is a table for each god, similar to the Cabins. Therefore, children of Hermes sit at the Hermes table, children of Aphrodite at the Aphrodite table, etc. Although Big Three children often have to sit on their own anyways, it is expressly forbidden to sit at another god's table. Hunters sit at the Artemis table when visiting, and the satyrs and nymphs can sit at any table they please, but generally sit at the table that Dionysus sits at, which is table 12.

Every night the half-bloods tribute a portion of their food to the gods by burning it in the pavilion fire. According to Luke, the gods like the smell of the burnt food. Hestia takes a small part of each tribute.

Monsters

Monsters are offshoots of gods or cursed beings that would terrorize, fight, and often kill demigods and heroes. Monsters are "archetypes," born from the Chaos and Barbarism that always exist in the Western Civilization. This means that they are purely spiritual entities and will merely reform in Tartarus and come back whenever they are destroyed. One example is when Percy kills the Minotaur on his first day as a half-blood. Four years later, he sees the Minotaur again in Kronos' army. This proves to be an ordeal for heroes, for after a monster is killed it can reappear and attack again, in any time period between weeks and hundreds of years. However, not every monster when killed goes to Tartarus. In the case of satyrs, when killed they will be reincarnated as something else in nature, like a plant of some kind.

Monsters often serve as minions of evil and cause trouble for Olympus. Normally, since they can't hurt the gods directly, they go after their demigod children instead. However, some monsters such as some Cerberus, Pegasus, and the Furies serve Olympus. There are other monsters like the Cyclopes, dragons, harpies that work for Olympus or run wild on their own. When some monsters are killed, they leave a trophy behind (called a Spoil of War) in the form of parts of its body, it's clothing, or some kind of armament.

Stymphalian Bird

A Stymphalian Bird is a species of monstrous pigeon-like birds. They have sharp Celestial Bronze beaks that can tear through flesh. They also have the ability to use their feathers like arrows, being able to shoot them down at their prey from above.

Satyrs

Satyrs (Ancient Greek: σάτυρος), also known by the Roman term Fauns, are creatures with the upper body of a man and the lower body of a goat complete with hairy goat legs and hooves, as well as goat horns, and pointed ears of a goat. When in public, they tend to be clumsy, for they have to wear fake feet so that the sound or appearance of their hooves won't draw unwanted attention from mortals.

Many satyrs go to Camp Half-Blood to become a Searcher. A role of which they will usually conduct a search of Pan, the god of the Wild. Long ago, Pan disappeared, as the modern civilization was tearing apart the wild. Afterwards, in The Battle of the Labyrinth, Percy, Grover, Tyson, Annabeth, Nico, and Rachel find Pan in a nature paradise where Pan fades and soon he gives his role as Lord of the Wild to Grover.

Re: Demigods (Roman and Greek) RP

I AM GOING TO MAKE PROBABLY THE MOST OP CHARACTER. For fun :D

Sign up sheet:
Immortal parent - Nyx (as in the primordial goddess of the night)
Name - Becquerel (Or Bec for short)
Gender - Male
Age - He ages slower than humans because he's part - primordial goddess (aka. older than the titans) therefore, he's 16-17 physically but he's really... old.
How were you found?
>> Find me? Find *ME*? HAHAHAHA. You don't find me, idiot, I find you.
EDIT: Changed his "How were you found" dialogue to fit (the picture of) him better.
http://static.tumblr.com/hr0bdnq/IARlppavm/2.png
Random info dump because I just thought this up for him.
>> He has large bags under his eyes because he feels the most awake at night and at the same time, the day is when most people are awake, so he can't sleep at night and if he sleeps in the morning, he misses a lot of stuff. Basically, he wants to know about everything since it's easier to hide if you know what's going on. So he's pretty grumpy and grouchy because of lack of sleep.

(( And here comes the other one! XD ))
Name: Jasper
Immortal Parent: None, but was sent by Hades to watch out for the girl who cheated death. Twice. It's just a Bonus, Bec's there too.
Gender: Male
Age: Do you keep track of that when you're dead? I think not.
Looks: (I imagine him to be pretty much like this, only with a slightly less feminine face)

Re: Demigods (Roman and Greek) RP

I guess I will! *Clears her throat*

Lauren:
It was just another boring rainy day for our city and what made matters worse was the fact that today was the first day in my senior year of high school. My mother decided to give me a ride since she knew how much I hated being on the bus with those...those...uh never mind.
After getting off, I adjusted the backpack and heard her say, "Have fun."
I decided not to say anything...If I opened my mouth, I'd start complaining again. Why was the world not ending right now beats me. I, honestly, prayed last night for an apocalypse to avoid school...But it would seem there was nothing from that...Yay me, huh?

Re: Demigods (Roman and Greek) RP

Becquerel:
As I sit in this gods-awful classroom, I start to regret ever agreeing to be a demigod-tracker for Chiron. But then, Camp is a pretty cool place with free food and a good bed to crash in, so I'll need to stay on Chiron's good side since I find myself in need of those two a lot.
Fortunately, these mortals are so self-induced that I don't even have to try to make them think I'm part of this school in the middle of nowhere.
A scent attracts my attention and I turn my head to see a blonde girl step out of a car.
That's her, alright.
I put my head in my arms again, Nothing I can do for now, guess I'll just have to wait until something happens.
I examine her scent, a mix of salt, sand and that really strong scent of a god... with a hint of mint.
Guess Percy's got a sister.

>> If we're following the Camp thing, Percy and everyone exists right?? If not, then ignore the last line. <<

Re: Demigods (Roman and Greek) RP

(hmmm...maybe they do but maybe those are another generation? I think we could decide on that together?)

Lauren:
I gave the teacher a note from the headmistress and she tried to stand up and quiet everyone down to introduce me, but failed miserably. They were all talking to each other and seemed to not even notice she was there. After a few minutes, she threw her hands up in despair and said, "Just sit anywhere. I give up."

Chuckling, I said, "Someone needs a longer vacation." Then, I started heading to the back of the classroom...where hopefully I'd be avoiding almost everyone and ... causing another unfortunate 'incident'.

Re: Demigods (Roman and Greek) RP

Xenakis:

I looked over at the new girl and rolled my eyes. She looked like another stuck up, pretenous chick who can buy whatever she wanted. Can't this school get anything better than that? I smiled and said, "Hey Rich, where'd you come from?" to her.

Re: Demigods (Roman and Greek) RP

I rolled my eyes at the kids in the room. The decent thing to do was to listen to the girl's name at least, but no. They can't even do that. I took out a pencil and paper and started to doodle. Something caught my eye. The blonde girl took a seat next to me. Great. Just my luck. No one ever sits all the way back here. I was in the corner of the room with the two desks around me, empty.

Lauren:
I was going to say 'hi' to the girl who was sitting next to me when I found the girl sitting right in front of me talking. "Rich? I am from Sidney. Moved here a couple weeks ago. Is the class always like this?" I asked them both pointing at the chaos that was taking place around us. Honestly! There was a guy being thrown across the room!

Raina:
"It's the first day, and first class. They'll quiet down soon." I said not looking up from the paper.

Bec:
She enters the class which is now full of annoyingly loud people. Thanks the gods she isn't in another class because it would be strange for someone unconnected to you to speak with you.
The "teacher" throws up her arms and the girl turns, I flinch as her scent assails my nose when a draft blows lightly through the room. My tongue is coated in beach-flavored mint.
And the scent of plants. Goddess plants. Strange.

Lauren:
After sitting down and getting an answer from the girl sitting next to me, I said, "I had prayed for an apocalypse...But this is far worse....And is that guy really biting his friend?!!!!"
I noticed a guy staring at me and raised an eyebrow. oh boy...A stalker already?

"Oh, Raina. Call it as it is. This class doesn't act any better than it does now."

Raina:
"She asked, and I gave my answer. Just don't encourage them. Don't even look at them. They all know each other and they're trying to get attention. Don't give them what they want, and they'll stop." I said, still not looking up.

Lauren:
"uhuh...I noticed that some of then...are kinda...creepy. So, you're Raina, huh? I am Lauren." I then looked at the girl to the front of us and asked, "And you?"

Bec:
I think the blonde saw me looking but I can't be sure.
The people around me act like animals. Literally.
I roll my eyes and focus them on pair the probably-Poseidon's daughter is talking to.
Their scents seem alike and I sniff a hint of how Demeter's kids smell like, but with the blonde there, I can't be sure. The Big Three's scent always gets in the way.

(( Ow, stalker? Creepy? I am the most powerful here, fear me. :P ))
