So, before Benjo was born, I made a mobile for his room with little felt birds and stars. Since then I have made 2 other mobiles as gifts for friends who had babies also. I've been thinking to try and sell a few of them at some point - possibly at an awareness/fundraising evening that I've been involved with for several years (the event is to help to fight human trafficking, which is such a heinous crime...sigh..).
Anyway. I've started working on a new design to try making an 'under the sea' themed mobile and this afternoon I finished a little felt seahorse and I thought I'd share with you :)
Little birdies
Bird and star, which go together on the mobile
Seahorse that I did today
Aww! These are adorable! Please post some more! I love them! Make some little fish and octopi and sharks and stuff! OMG! That would be so cute! These are so cute! Too sweet! Love it. Make some more. :)
Those are really cute, Snort!!!
These are so nice and adorable! I enjoy making felt crafts too. It's really fun! :)
I don't care if mobiles are for infants, I want one! :D Those are just too cute.
The seahorse is amazing snortmort!! it's so cute!! I want one...you should sell these...I'd buy it all
I want the seahorse!!! SO CUTE!
Those are impossibly cute! I want one!
Oh I would love to have one of those mobiles for my little half brother (he's 4 months old)! That is just incredibly cute!
Thanks, all. Love your support :) I've been debating setting up an Etsy shop, but that probably depends on how well selling goes when the fundraiser night rolls around, but that's not until February/March sometime - which gives me lots of time to build up some inventory!
I'm really pleased with how the seahorse turned out - he's my first animal that I made without a tutorial/pattern. I just found a clipart of a seahorse, edited it a bit to suit my needs and away I went.
So glad it turned out okay :) It sucks when you work on a project that you're all excited about and then it flops....like a couple of months ago, I wanted to turn a thrift shop sheet into two fitted sheets for B's pack & play, and I finished the one and I hadn't added enough elastic...frustrating. I'll have to go back and add some more in!
Whenever I get some more stuff done I'll post pictures. I'm so slow though - too many projects on the go all the time!!
SO CUTE!!! Can I buy them already?! Can I? Errrrgh the sea horse is adorkable~!!!
-hugs you- Sho cuuuute!
There are really adorable! :D I want one!! (Too bad I don't sleep in a crib though. :P)
Haha, Jang, no, I don't have a shop open. But all your positive feedback makes me feel encouraged to make more! :) Thank-you
Malu - you so don't need a crib to enjoy it. B's is actually not over his crib, but over his change table, since he sleeps on his tummy and wouldn't see it there anyway! I'm sure they could be cute hanging decorations anywhere you want them :)
New pieces:
A robin for a woodland animals-themed mobile:
A fish for the undersea-themed mobile:
Could you do a little tutorial on how to make to make them, please? :D

I could maybe try. I wish I could just put the link to the original tutorial I used for making the birds the first time. I'll see what I can do, though it'll be hard since I can't really attach a pattern onto a forum post.
OMG I looove them! I would so totally buy it. They're just so cute and adorable. My little cousin would just love.
I love love love the fishy!!! I would totally buy them. Not sure where I.d use them, but I like them!
I LOVE THEM! And I'd totally appreciate it if you could do a tutorial for them. I would love to make some for my little brother.
K, I've been really struggling over here trying to figure out how to post a tutorial. I'd post a tutorial on the birds, but I don't feel right doing that because I simply followed a tutorial online. I really just want to post the link to the tutorial for you all, but we're not supposed to post outside links so I'm kind of stuck unless the mods will allow me to post the link without making it an 'active' link?
Annnnd for the fish: well, I drew that pattern by hand, so I'm not really sure how I can make that into a digital form. I'll keep trying to puzzle it out. I've never put one of my patterns into a digital format so I don't know how to do that - maybe someone has some advice on that?
