Sudden Ads

I was on this morning and all was fine. However, right now, I am being absolutely bombarded with ads! And most of them are very inappropriate pop-ups that kids should not be seeing! This is the only site that's doing this. As I type, there are 4 ads that I cannot click out of on the screen all at the same time. Were you guys hacked? :aomd_nrv:

Re: Sudden Ads

Hmm I am not getting no ads popping up. Have you tried to use another browser?

Re: Sudden Ads

The forum isn't supposed to have ads, but I do remember seeing them at one point.
But that was my fault, I downloaded something weird and when I uninstalled it it was back to normal.

Re: Sudden Ads

All is well now. I don't know what I did, because I didn't download anything, and it was only happening on OMD. But then a few minutes after writing this, I tried to go to DeviantArt and got hit with the exact same ads in the same places. I went to the Chrome store and got two different blockers, and they're working great! So it'sd not the site, but my computer being stupid. :hypn:

Re: Sudden Ads

Sometimes you don't even need to download anything, you just accidentaly visit a website and some undesirable program installs itself. Just in case, you can download a removal tool (like AdwCleaner for example) that will scan your computer and get rid of ads softwares, toolbars and things like that.
