A tea room opened near my home! But not just any! A Japanese tea room! It's really amazing to experience this special atmosphere. I come to regret that there are not more than other teahouse cultures that settled to discover ...
And you ? If you were to discover a tearoom in another country, which would it be?
For this theme, show originality and show us the most beautiful typical tea room of a country!
Join the theme "Tea room of the world" by entering your loft from Tuesday, September 15th at 10:00.
Registration will end Monday, September 21 at 10 am, so take your time to plan your creation!
To register for this Loft Show you will need to meet the following prerequisites:
Store • Prerequisites:
- At least 1 item from Ohmydollz Bascis
- At least 1 item from Cuisineland
• Room requirements:
- At least 4 cups / bowls / glasses of tea (depending on country)
- At least two teapots
- At least one table (high, low, bar ...)
- Pastries
• Prohibited:
- Characters (human and animal)
- Stage and fantastic elements
- Gifts to offer friends and those of the Gazette
I love this theme (probably because of my addiction to tea lol). Can't wait to see what people come up with !
Me too! I had a lot of fun making my tea room for the German Loft Show but was disqualified. I was wondering if someone, anyone, could tell me why?

I was going for a cute tea room from my home country the USA. If I were to open a tea room it would be this one. I called it Wonder Land, so maybe they thought it was a fantasy tea room and not a world tea room? Or maybe because I put a stuffed rabbit on one of the chairs? I actually used $$ to spruce the room up, and now I feel like I wasted those rare dollars. According to the German show rules the window should give any idea of what the country is, and the window I chose pretty much looks like a street in my own down town eating district.
Any ideas?

While no one here (even our own mods) can speak for the reasoning of the mods there (Germany)... I did take a peek to see if I could spot anything obvious.
Initially, my thought was that your room did not have a distinct national feel... but it certainly could be Anytown, USA! Then I spotted the likely cause for your DQ:
This tea set is part of the gifts we received for Birthday Week... and they were given by the Gazette. Gazette gifts are, as usual, a forbidden element.
Perhaps you could remove/replace that item and try entering again? It is possible that they might still consider the stuffed bunny an animal "character"... so you may want to remove that, too. I would consider it more décor than character, but better safe than sorry! There's still some time to see if that fixes it...
D'oh! Oh gosh, I completely forgot that the tea tray is from the Gazette! I thought about removing the bunny, too. I also thought maybe putting USA on the window under the pink bow might help. I'll try that. Thank You.
Are there only three entries in this week's show? Paris, Hollywood, Egypt?

I believe so, that is all I have seen as well.
Slighty Disappointing that only three people signed up. Though all the entries are quite pretty/interesting
