We arrive in a lovely village somewhere in Yorkshire.

As I try not to twist my ankles, we finally come across someone who shows us the direction of Mr Doyle's cottage, which appeared to be two miles away from the village.

Step 5: Odds and ends

The day after, I make up a believable story to explain to Sherlock how I found this object.
- This egg reminds me of an old case from the 19th century that has never been solved, Amelia says. In the attic there are some very old newspapers mentioning it.
What a bloody jumble, we start searching through it.
As she inspects the drawers of an old piece of furniture, Amelia finds a couple of letters from a bailiff. She frowns.
- Who is Miss Miller?
- She's the mayor of the village, Amelia answers. She also runs a tea shop.

Step 6: Meeting Miss Miller

In the afternoon we decide to go for a cup of tea at Miss Miller's shop.
- Miss Miller, did you make an offer to buy the cottage? Sherlock Holmes curtly asks.
- Yes, I did. The cottage belonged to my family until my great-grandfather sold it to the Doyles. As kids, Randy and I were very close friends. I didn't intend to get the cottage back for the sake of my family if that is what you had in mind. I just wanted to help Randy with the payment of his debts.
As they leave, Sherlock notices on a shelf three eggs made of china. He's certain that they are from the same collection as the one I found.

Step 7: Sherlockian reflection

In the evening we put a lot of thought into the whole case around a cup of coffee.
- Amelia cannot have done it because she already received a large inheritance. Miss Miller maybe?
- That would be too easy, she makes a "too" perfect culprit, Sherlock says.
- Would you like some biscuits? Amelia asks as she enters the kitchen. Miss Miller "kindly" brought me some.
- The most evident decision is to rule her out because she would be a too evident choice! Elementary, my dear Watson!
- But where could Mr Doyle be? There is no trace of him leaving the house.
- That's because he hasn't left it! Sherlock Holmes retorts as he heads towards the dining room.

Step 8: The hidden room

- One must know that very old English houses often have secret passages, whose entrance is commonly hidden behind large furniture, like a Victorian bookcase!
At the same moment, Amelia's husband comes back.
- Mr Brett, come and help me! I found in the kitchen drawer pictures showing two kids playing in front of this bookcase.
A long corridor unveils, leading to a room where we discover a huge chest containing an unconscious Mr Doyle.
A few hours later, Amelia and her husband come back from the hospital with good news and in the meanwhile Miss Miller gets arrested.
- The newspaper found in the attic says that the collection counts seven eggs in total. There are two in this house and three at the tea shop. But where are the last two?
- Sherlock, I can see you would like to solve this case as well but to do so you would have to go two centuries back in time!
